Know More about this tour

The Tokyo nightlife starts after 5 pm and that’s when the tour starts. We will meet at Mitsukoshi Ginza, in front of the statue of Lion facing Chuo street. Please remember that this tour starts on time.
After enjoying Wagashi, we will walk through Ginza filled with night lights and people who are enjoying the nightlife. We may drop at the Itoya stationary store.
Monja restaurant - We will catch a subway to a very local downtown area. This town is known for Monja, which is originally from Tokyo. We will enjoy cooking it on the grill on the table.
We’ll end our tour in Yakitori Alley, near Yurakucho, an area with many casual bar-style restaurants and the birthplace of yakitori, one of many Japanese people’s favourite appetisers. As many businessmen and women do after 5pm, we’ll enjoy a drink of sake or a local beer, then sample yakitori at one of the many local restaurants, each with their own “tare” (sauce) mixed with their secret ingredients.

I did five tours in two weeks, in both Tokyo and Bangkok, unfortunately this was my least favourite one, it was average but not terrible. Firstly, the tour meet up location was at a busy train station, this is a bad idea and it caused confusion for the guests at the start. The tour seem disorganized and rushed. Considering this supposed to be a food experience, the experience was average. The tour guides didn’t really explain the food which I was kind of expecting. Not a culinary Food experience that’s for sure.

The restaurant and wine bar where terrific. Very good food experience and great atmosphere. The guide did a really good job and provided some interesting insights into Japanese culture

The tour guide was very nice, accommodating, and friendly. He was very responsive on WhatsApp and gave instructions. My issue was the quantity of food that we got. There were three restaurants that we ate at (first was for Japanese pancakes, second wad skewers & third was dessert). Giving a three stars though as I expected more food than what we ate. I did appreciate being brought to different parts of the city, places that I hadn’t ventured in before. For a food tour though, I expected to eat way more and for the price, it might have been better to do my own DIY restaurant hopping.

We were lucky to have a private tour with Aya-san and she gave us lots of really interesting information, not just about the food we ate but some history and fun facts we would never have known. Really friendly and showed a genuine interest too, so it felt like having dinner with a friend. Would easily recommend this tour, plus the food was delicious!!

We went on this tour to experience some restaurants we would not have ventured into on our own like the self cook Teppanyaki, it was great fun and food was delicious. Our host Kiri spoke good English and was very accommodating.

Firts I want to thank our tour guide Yuko. She was great, really fun to be around. Easy to chat with as we made our way around. We went to restaurants where locals actually go to eat. Along the way we also visited a few historic and trendy locations like Ginza SIX. Overall an easy tour to jusy relax and sample local dishes (don't forget to try some sake).

I have done a few of these food tours and Yuko was the best guide that I have had. She shared a lot of history of the areas and was a great cook at the last restaurant! I would recommend this tour for your next visit to Tokyo!

I really enjoyed the Tokyo by Night: Japanese Food Tour! Snoopy, our tour guide was very informative and provided a little background on the areas we were visiting. I especially enjoyed making our own food at the last stop, being interactive with new friends made the night fun! I would definitely recommend this tour to first time visitors to Tokyo as well as second time visitors like myself! There’s always something new and tasty to discover in Tokyo!
