Know More about this tour

After a bus ride of approximately one hour, we will arrive to Toledo, where we will first take a panoramic tour. You will be impressed from the very first moment, as we will go up to the Mirador del Valle, an elevated area from where we will have the best views of the city. At this point you will enjoy a short free time to take as many photos as you wish.
We will start a walking tour through the most important areas of the city, passing by places like the Cathedral, the Plaza de Zocodover or the Synagogue of Santa Mara la Blanca, where we will have the opportunity to access and visit it. Did you know that since 1986 Toledo is considered as World Heritage of Humanity? No doubt, this is synonymous that the city will surprise you.
After lunch, we will get back on the bus to head towards the oldest winery in the region. Here we will have the opportunity to enjoy a complete wine tourism experience, as well as delve into the art of winemaking in a unique setting, a bicentennial winery that is surrounded by a carefully tended vineyard, where the most prestigious grape varieties in the country are found. Of course, we can't leave without tasting some of its best wines, accompanied by an aperitif.

We had a fabulous experience in Toledo with our guide Marie. She is very knowledgeable about the history of all the different extraordinary cathedrals and beautiful buildings of Toledo. In addition, she was able to communicate very well in English which made the history of the city come alive! Marie slowed and explained the various neighborhoods including dates in history. Her background in history and knowledge made for one of the very best tours. Also, the Winery was an exceptional addition along with the wine samples, tapas, and history and up-to-date functions. Via tour is fortunate to have Marie as a guide. Also, Juan was an excellent driver. My husband and I will long remember our day in Toledo!

This tour took in the main parts of Toledo with a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. The buildings and views over Toledo were stunning and the whole town is scenic. We took advantage of the tourist lunch which I have to say was good value for money. A word of warning, Toledo is built on a hill and there were lots of steep cobbled streets to walk up and down, so if you have any mobility problems then this tour may not be for you.

This was a great experience w our terrific guide, Esther. She was knowledgeable, relaxed and friendly. Toledo is definitely worth the time. It's a lovely, beautifully preserved historic city w an important cathedral containing art by Caravaggio and Goya.impressive wine tasting w generous pourings.buying the package which includes lunch is advisable if only because it's too much trouble to make other arrangements for a meal on your own. It's a small, tourist filled city.loved the day even tho it rained.

When the tour guide wasn’t texting people on his phone, he was giving us poorly translated versions of the history happening around us. The bus parked at the bottom of the hill and made us HIKE up to see former worshipping sites that were completely empty. The winery was nice but only 1 hour of the trip. Would not recommend to wine connoisseurs and people who aren’t good with uphill hikes.

The trip was very pleasant, travelling through beautiful countryside. The time in Toledo seemed a bit short, and we wished we had stayed in the town instead of going on the bus to the pre-arranged lunch. The food was not great and we would have enjoyed some free time in the town much more. The winery was a long way from anywhere, and the time there was too long. The stop at the factory was interesting.

A must see for Toledo . Our tour guide was excellent and well versed in where we went , however it was difficult to hear him in the bus. The wine trip was well worth going to . A great day and so glad we went

Good things about this tour: small group - 8 people. Great bus driver. That's about it! Bad things about this tour: 1. tour guide was very low energy & gave us very basic & very limited information about what we saw. I opened Rick Steve's Spain 2018 book & was able to read a lot more about the city & each of the sites we were visiting. 2. not enough of time in Toledo itself - we left around 10, drove for about 1 hr, then toured the city for about 2 hrs (that's not enough), then had lunch for about 1 hr, then drove to vineyard & spend time there 1.5 hrs, then drove back. 3. lunch place had a spectacular view but the food was terrible, in spite of the fact that we choose the more expansive lunch option. The food was cold, not freshly cooked, not delicious. 4. vineyard was very nice & the wine was good, but it was out of the way. I'd rather have a place closer to have more time in Toledo. Also we have some dietary restrictions - i contacted Julie Travel, who organizes the tour about this ahead of time & they never responded. I also e-mailed them 24 hrs before tour to confirm it was on & they did not respond. I would totally get a ticket for a train from Madrid at EU18 each way & join one of the tour groups in Toledo, have more time to explore the city, have lunch by ourselves - there are plenty of good places.

Tour was organized well and provided a comprehensive experience of the magnificent city of Toledo.Beatrice, our tour guide, was both knowledgeable and pleasant to be with on our all day excursion. Mateo, our tour driver, kept us safe and punctual on a very comfortable small-sized transport. Marie, the winery host, shared interesting insight into the wine making process and of course excellent wine!Lunch on our own in a local bar added authenticity to our memorable experience.
