Overview

On your way to the Belegrade from Sarajevo, or vice versa, it is great idea to see some of the must see attractions of Eastern Bosnia / Western Serbia- Visegrad, Andricgrad and Drvengrad.
First of them is Visegrad, that has long and rich history. The thing that makes it special is the famous UNESCO protected Old Stone Bridge, the endowment of Grand Vizier Mehmed Pasha Sokolovic.
Next stop is Andricgrad-known as Kamengrad or Stone city. It is a project of famous film director Emir Kusturica, inspired by Nobel prize winner, Ivo Andric.
Also, you will visit Ethno Village Drvengrad-means Wooden city, which beauty will left you withouth a breath. Another thing you will definitely enjoy is Mokra Gora, the most unique Sargan Eight ride - an old-fashioned narrow-gauge railway. The last stop is your final destination - Belegrade

This tour can be arranged to start in Belegrade and end-up in Sarajevo, on your request.

Know More about this tour

The starting time is 8:00 a.m. usually in front of Meet Bosnia Agency at the Gazi Husrev Begova 75, but can be arranged from elsewhere, if requested. After a small introduction and giving to our guest complimentary bottles of water, and we start the tour.
The Mehmed Paa Sokolovi Bridge is a historic bridge in Viegrad, over the Drina River in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was completed in 1577 by the Ottoman court architect Mimar Sinan on the order of the Grand Vizier Mehmed Paa Sokolovi. UNESCO included the bridge in its 2007 World Heritage List.
Andrigrad is located near the Mehmed Paa Sokolovi Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and stretches from the bridge up to the confluence of the Rzav River. After Drvengrad (English: Woodentown), this is the second village Kusturica created from scratch. Andrigrad is to be used as a location for Kusturica's new film Na Drini uprija, based on the novel The Bridge on the Drina by Nobel Prize for Literature laureate Ivo Andri.
Dobrun Monastery, built in 1343, is one of the oldest monasteries in the country. Located in the picturesque mountainous region close to the city of Viegrad
Mokra Gora is a valley in western Serbia, which nestles between the mountains of Tara and Zlatibor. Connected to it is the argan Pass, which to the north comprises a natural link with Zborite, Taras highest peak, and to the south connects with Zlatibor. The argan - Mokra Gora nature park is 10,813 hectares in size.
Enjoy wanderful views of Mokra Gora National Park in Serbia under the east foothills of Tara Mountain.
Another great attraction is the Drvengrad (Wooden Town) ethnic village built on the hill of Meavnik on the initiative of the famous Serbian filmmaker Emir Kusturica. Authentic log cabins from the region were transported to the location and used in the construction of the village, The oldest of these cabins dates back 90 years. Once brought to the site they were placed on high stone bases, with cellars specially built with hillside terrain in mind. In terms of its urban form and structure Drvengrad is somewhere between a village and a town or ethnic village. Guests usually take free time for lunch here.
Today the areas of argan and Mokra Gora are best known for the arganska Eight, a narrow-gauge railway, famous for the impressive engineering that enables it to climb rapidly over a short distance. Alongside the track there are a number of exhibits old locomotives and wagons which are preserved as examples of the engineering of yesteryear making this a unique open-air museum. Ride with train (ticket) is not included in price of tour but this is optional part of the program. Guests could decide on the spot if they want to join train ride or not.
Arrival in Belgrade in the evening and drop off at the hotel. There is no any tour in Belgrade

Let me start with our driver, Vedad. He was so kind and shared his incredible story during our drive. Getting to chat with him was worth the tour alone! The drive was easy and we got to see great historical landmarks along the way.

I would recommend Jasmin as a great driver, knowledgeable guide and overall a really nice guy. We enjoyed just listening to his stories (historical and personal) about the history and culture of the regions. A great experience!

10/10. My guide, Adnan, was extremely knowledgeable and overall great company. Since it was a solo trip, he was happy to add a stop here and there for me, including the Stecci Tombstones and different viewpoints. I really enjoyed just asking questions and listening to the history and politics of the region through his eyes. Comfy, clean car too. The tour itself was a lovely way to get to Belgrade and see some of Eastern Bosnia and Western Serbia. Two UNESCOs, two national parks, a old train ride (good fun) and a tonne of beautiful vistas - driving through tunnels, through the green verdant hills. We left at 8am and arrived just before 6pm. Highly reccomended. Ask for Adnan to be your guide too!

This was a great tour, we essentially had a private tour because we were the only ones on the tour. Our driver was super friendly and knowledgable. The drive was probably one of the best drives we have ever done. The scenery is stunning, the views are spectacular, the journey was great. We stopped at a lot of places and our driver spoke to us about the history in detail as he lived through the wars.

Adnan was a tremendous tour guide. We had many engaging topics of conversation. He is very knowledgeable about both Bosnian and Serbian cultural and geographical topics. We would highly recommend using Adnan as your guide!

Amer could not have been a more accommodating and knowledgeable guide! From the moment he picked us up at our hostel, stopping off for coffee breaks to patiently awaiting on us while we swam out to Drina River House. I would very much do this tour again to learn more from him about the history of Bosnia and Serbia. The train ride we went on and the village we visited too to the bridge dating from the Ottoman period. As my friends were staying in a separate hostel from myself he ensured I got to my own accommodation safely in Belgrade after a long day driving and then heading back to Sarajevo. Meet Bosnia Tours stood out to me from my initial tour around Sarajevo and this Transfer Tour only solidifies what great hosts they are. Wonderful :) :)

My mother and I very much enjoyed our day with Amer. It was a great way to combine a transfer with sightseeing! Amer was very attentive and knew so much about everything. I got to learn way more with him than I could have any other way. I still haven't read the book (The Bridge on the Drina) but looking forward to it! Thanks for everything.

I took the transfer from Sarajevo to Belgrade with Adnan, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Adnan was an immense source of knowledge in all things related to Bosnia’s history, culture and politics, and overall he made this long transfer go super smoothly! The vehicle was very comfortable, and the sightseeing and locations enjoyable. 10/10 absolutely recommend!

We decided to use Meet Bosnia's one way car and driver service from Sarajevo to Belgrade so we can see the sights along the way. We're glad we did. Not only did we see some sights that we never could've seen by taking the train or bus but the information provided by the driver, who is also the guide, was invaluable. Speaking of the driver, I highly recommend Amer, our guide/driver. He spoke perfect English, was polite, helpful and was like a walking encyclopedia. He knew everything about Bosnia and Belgrade. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. I highly recommend him.
