Know More about this tour

See the most important landmarks of the city center like the fabulous Signoria Square, marble Dome with its bell tower, the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge). If you have Walking tour included the tour will terminate a the characteristic Central Market where you will have the opportunity to taste many local dishes and by excellent local products
Visit this historic palace, which became the main home of the ruling families of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. It was the centre of government for the 300 years that Tuscany was a monarchy. Later the palace was used as a base by Napoleon. During the Risorgimento, for a short time it was the royal palace of the newly united Italy.
Walk through Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) a medieval stone closed-spandrel segmental arch bridge noted for the shops built along it.
Admire a free-standing campanile that is part of the complex of buildings that make up Florence Cathedral. The unusual position of the bell tower, aligned with the facade, reflects the desire to give it great importance as a sign of strong verticality at the center of the Insula Episcopalis, as well as probably the practical need to free the view of the apse area for the large dome, foreseen since Arnolfian project. Giotto provided an original design for the bell tower, with a pyramidal cusp termination 50 Florentine arms high (about 40 metres), according to which the total elevation should have been approximately 120-125 metres. A drawing preserved in the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo in Siena is considered by some scholars to be inspired by this project.
Walk through this square where you can admire Basilica di Santa Croce, one of the largest Franciscan churches and one of the greatest Gothic achievements in Italy, and has the rank of minor basilica. It is an Italian national monument.
Visit Palatine Gallery, is a museum housed in Palazzo Pitti in Florence. Housed within the architectural complex, it is located on the main floor, divided into 28 rooms that extend into the rear northern lateral wing of the architectural complex and into the northern lateral part and central rear part of the main building of the palace. This is the "picture gallery" of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany: the layout in fact respects the taste of past centuries, with the paintings placed in several rows, selected for decorative criteria, and not by period and schools. Chronologically, with a few exceptions, the paintings mainly cover the 16th and 17th centuries, making it one of the most important museums of its kind in Italy, as well as an obligatory stop for learning about the history of European collecting.
Walk through Basilica of San Lorenzo, one of the main Catholic places of worship in Florence, located in the square of the same name in the historic center of the city. It is one of the churches that compete for the title of the oldest in the city and has the dignity of a minor basilica[1]. The San Lorenzo market is held near the church.
Admire Florence Cathedral and its complex which includes the Baptistery and Giotto's Campanile. These three buildings are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site
Visit Central Market, one of the results from the time of risanamento, during the late nineteenth century. Inside, is possible to find primary ingredients of Tuscan cuisine, fruits and vegetable stands as well as nuts and spices. Outside, you can find leather goods.
Walk through this square in front of the Palazzo Vecchio, also shared with the Loggia della Signoria. It is the main point of the origin and history of the Florentine Republic and gateway to Uffizi Gallery.

Viator was not clear at all about getting to their shuttle so we missed the shuttle, not to mention they changed the time on us. We were on a cruise and so it was hard to coordinate. Truth be told, we didn't realize we had to take a shuttle from the port to a destination where we would then be picked up by Viator, but when I called them in the morning to tell them that we would be about ten minutes late, they said the couldn't wait. Not impressed especially since it wasn't cheap. We did the same shuttle thing on our other excursions in Naples and Pompei and Rome but we went through Get Your Guide. They had detailed instructions on where to go and how to get there and our experience was much better. Also, we ended up waiting almost 45 minutes for some people who were late. Mmmm....wonder why they were more accommodating than Viator? I probably wouldn't use Viator again. It's actually easier and cheaper to get to the port and rent a car and driver. There's lots of cabs waiting to bargain with you to take you on your excursion and you don't have to bother with how to get to an address you have absolutely no clue about! A little secret to these excursion companies....we don't know how to speak the language or even pronounce some of these streets and most of us have never been to these countries, so patience and more detailed instructions would be appreciated!

Great tour guided by Frederico He was knowledgeable. It’s a long day. We did it because we were in port at Livorno overnight. The tour bus dropped us back at the ship at about 6pm.

The trip to Florence was great but the pick-up location was changed from the port to downtown which was a little inconvenient and an extra cost.

Great value for the money. Our guide Allessandro was very friendly and knowledgeable. Bus was a little warm as the a/c wasn’t working very well but otherwise I would recommend this tour for anyone wanting to get a taste of Florence from a cruise ship from the port of Livorno. Just make sure you calculate the extra time it will take you to take the shuttle bus from the Port to the Livorno cruise stop in the city center of Livorno. You can take the Shuttle bus for approximately 7 Euros/person return or take a taxi (30euros for a 7passenger van one way). The taxi is definitely the quicker option if you’re short on time.

As expected for a transfer. Guide gave some good info during trip. Down graded to 4 stars because it is advertised that Wi-Fi is available on bus, but it was not.

Florence is a beautiful place to visit. Our guide and driver all are very good. We were late to came back to bus due to the Uffizi tour guide gave us wrong info. So all of us run as Olympic runners to back to bus. :)) Luckily our bus were waiting for us. The bus finally back to ship directly so we do not need to take shuttle bus back to ship. Thank you!

We only used them for transfer from the port to Florence and everything went really well. We did not opt for the tour option because we wanted to explore on our own, otherwise we would have done the tour. It was a good experience with no issues.

Everything was done on schedule, the guide was very helpful and friendly, and the trip was exactly as promised.

The transfer service was great. The guide was informative and very helpful. A map of the city was provided and the guide gave us tips as to what to see. Only wish we had more time in Florence. The bus had to leave a little earlier since guests on a different cruise ship had an earlier return time. I would definitely recommend booking with this company. They are professional. The driver was also great.

Good value well organised very happy with trip, George who was the young host was knowledgable and well organised. We had to leave two of the party behind in Florence but the driver and bus waited well over 20 mins for the couple and the instructions and contact details provided were very clear.
