Know More about this tour

Meet-up with your guide at midday and start the 1-hour trek to Kutna Hora's bone ossuary, one of the most well-known burial grounds in the world. This chapel is decorated with more than 40 000 human bones, which are arranged into a chandelier, a Schwarzenberg Coat-of-Arms, and numerous other decorative touches. Kutn Hora has been on the UNESCO list of cultural heritage sites since 1995.

But there is far more to see to this town than skeleton-made furniture. Kutn Hora was once the second richest city in the Kingdom of Bohemia, thanks to its medieval silver mining centre. The former wealth of the town is reflected today in the variety of architectural monuments and the preserved structure of the town centre. Our tour of Kutn Hora will take you to the Neo-Gothic St Barbaras Cathedral, through the streets of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque town houses and to visit a unique stone fountain from the 15th century.

Be transferred back to the meeting point on central Prague at tour's end.

MICHAELA our tour guide was incredible and full of knowledge, not to mention that the fog gave the place more mystery and charm.

Wonderful tour! Great driver and a fantastic tour guide! Saw the beautiful Sedlec Ossuary as well as all of the other sights of Kutná Hora. Our guide, made it interesting, as well as educational. Top notch!

This was a good tour but I felt too much time was spent at the first cathedral, which was nice but I thought the other sites were more interesting and felt rushed there. The Ossuary is very interesting as is St. Barbara's cathedral (the second cathedral). Guide was okay but we were spoiled having great guides on other tours in Prague.

The tour of the town was informative and engaging! The tour started with the Bone Church, and moved on to the rest of the town. It was interesting to learn more about Kutna Hora and it's history, and the day trip was a nice change of pace from the city of Prague. The church there was beautiful and rivaled many of those in the city itself. Our guide Jan was friendly and knowledgeable – he spoke multiple languages so that everyone in our diverse tour group was able to get the most from his tour through the town, and was patient in answering our questions. I had a lovely time and learned a lot and would recommend this half-day trip to anyone considering it.

Great tour. Bone church truly breath taking and the old city centre of Kutna Hora was lovely. Mikela was an excellent guide. Worth the easy day and a nice trip in the country.

Our guide and driver were friendly and enjoyed sharing their knowledge of the area and gladly answered our wide ranging questions about the Czech Republic. The area was rich with silver, making it an important source of wealth... which made it a valuable prize for conquering governments throughout the centuries. The cathedral is striking and has an interesting history. The bone church is unique and makes you reflect on life... we also found a chocolate museum that gladly offered free tastings of numerous flavors of milk and dark chocolate.

It was ok tour just outside Prague. I really don’t recommend it because there’s really nothing to see beside the bone church and the cathedral.

We very much enjoyed this half-day trip. The ossuary was weird but interesting and it was nice to see the St Bárbara chuch and the old town. Our guide Elena was very helpful and spoke excellent English. The drive there took only 1hr 15 mins and the bus was modern and comfortable. Nice to get out of the crowded centre of Prague for a bit!
