Overview

The Palatinate region offers charming landscapes, hospitality and many sights. The right tour for people who want to be off the beaten track and who love the individual experience. Palatinate is also famous for its white "Riesling" wine and therefore a wine tasting in one of the many wineries is almost a must.
The name of my boutique-style chauffeur and limousine service is "a friend in Heidelberg". Many guests of mine told me that this very name is the perfect choice.
The stops mentioned under "Itinerary" are possible destinations of our tour. I am more than happy to compose an individual tour, which is based entirely on your preferences and wishes.
I was not only born in the famous historical city of Heidelberg and know the area extremely well, but also lived and worked in the US and hence speak fluent English. If you wish I can help you with the organization of your trip ahead of time.
You will be chauffeured in a Mercedes S-Class, virtually a private jet for the road, equipped with all state-of-the-art features.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Speyer Cathedral, Domplatz 1a Domplatz, 67346 Speyer, Rhineland-Palatinate Germany
The Speyer Cathedral, one of many possible destinations of our journey, is the largest surviving Romanesque church in the world. Four emperors, three empresses and kings from the houses of Habsburg, Staufen and Nassau are buried here. The cathedral is thus the most important burial site of the Middle Ages on German soil.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Hambacher Schloss, 67434 Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, Rhineland-Palatinate Germany
Hambach Castle, one of many possible destinations of our journey, is considered a symbol of the German democracy movement because of the Hambacher Fest which occurred here in 1832. A well-made and informative exhibition brings this era to live. A modern building right next to the Hambach Castle houses a nice caf from where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Rhine valley.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Weingut Knipser, Hauptstr. 47, 67229 Laumersheim, Rhineland-Palatinate Germany
The Knipser Estate has been run as a family business for almost 150 years. Throughout its history, it has won many awards, including Winemaker of the Year 2009 in the "Gault Millau" wine guide. With Tom Benns, the Knipser Winery also has a sommelier who - being British - speaks perfect English.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Spielbank Bad Durkheim, Schlosspl. 6-7, 67098 Bad Durkheim, Rhineland-Palatinate Germany
You can visit the casino in Bad Drkheim, but you do not have to. The spa town on the edge of the Palatinate Forest has much more to offer, both culturally and culinary.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Trifels Castle, Burg Trifels, 76855 Annweiler am Trifels, Rhineland-Palatinate Germany
Of course, the Palatinate region also offers castles. The so called Felsenburg Trifels is one of many, but one that is not only geographically outstanding. It is located high above the Queich valley within the Palatinate Forest on one peak of a red sandstone mountain split into three.
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Villa Ludwigshoehe, Villastrasse 64, 67480 Edenkoben, Rhineland-Palatinate Germany
Villa Ludwigshhe is a small castle and the former summer residence of Ludwig I of Bavaria. Its classicistic style is inspired by Italian architecture.
