Overall, this trip was good. The zip lining, swimming in the cenote and touring the Mayan temples in Tulum were amazing. Although there were some BIG things I would have changed to make it better. One, our van did not have air conditioning. Being in Mexico, driving an hour from our resort in a van without A/C was horrible. One of the girls on our trip had to lie down with cooling rags on her because she got so sick in the van from the heat. Two, the guided tour part of Tulum went far too long. We had 90 minutes there total. The first 45 minutes were led by a tour guide but not walking around the ruins, instead we stopped multiple times on the walk there (about 10 minute walk that turned into 25 minute walk) talking about trees and plants. Once in the area with the ruins, our guide talked for another 15 minutes and did not let us go explore. We were totally rushed and only had about 20 minutes on our own to run through the ruins and try to make it back to the bus on time. Three, the drive home took 2.5 hours in standstill traffic… in a van with no A/C. That was brutal. The estimated time for this trip says 6 hours… we got picked up at 7:30AM and did not arrive back to the resort until 6:00PM. Again, brutal. The actual excursions were worth the money and the experience of them were wonderful, but the commuting, the delayed time of our return and the being rushed through the Mayan ruins were very disappointing.

We just back from a excursion that was supposed to be 1/2 day. We left our resort at 8:10am and didn’t get back til almost 7pm. This was one of the most unorganized tours services I have ever experienced. We left at 8:10 or so then had to stop to 1 more resort to pick up about 10 more passengers… no big deal. Then they took us all to their headquarters where we had to wait at least 30 minutes to figure out where and why we were going with. We switched vans. After a 50 min ride we finally arrived at Tulum where the tour was about 45 min long. We only had about 20 min to walk around and take pictures. It felt rush… remember we had wasted 30 min at their headquarters. Tulum was good only because our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly and because we love learning about Mayan history, we had visited other ruins in the past and wanted to do Tulum. We made it back, we were rushed to go to the next location…to have lunch then to ride the ATV’s and then cenote. Well lunch was average… chicken, pulled pork, rice, beans and tortillas… with Jaima or orange juice. The locker the give you it’s the size of a shoe box lol 😂 we had to ask for an extra locker. We finally head down to ride ATV’s, we’ll after a 25 min talk about how to use one and then 15 min talk about buying g insurance in case you damage the thing… we were told we had to wait because there was sn accident on the trail… we waited again 15-20 min finally I talked to the guide in Spanish hey can we do the cenote then ride ATV’s after? He assured us we had enough time to do everything… at this point was already 2:30pm! Remember we were picked up at 8:10am and it was 2:30 and we had only done Tulum for 60 min. This was so unorganized… finally they said we could get on the ATV’s. The trail was so rough and dry and under construction we were up and down the same path 3 times. We almost ran out of gas!!! We ride fir 30 min then went to the caverns/cenote. It was refreshing once again our tour guide was good… but the experience it delft felt overpriced for what we got… it was not what the resort people “sold us” if you would say. Save your money and go to XELHA OR XCARET! Oh yeah we made it back at almost 7pm. And we have dinner reservations at 8pm! We were told we would be back by 4-4:30 bahahaha…

Hicimos Tulum, cuatriciclos y xenote, muy completo, el guía Jaime muy bueno y completo, muy buenas explicaciones, divertido y nos brindó seguridad! El bufet no era súper completo, pero estuvo bien.

We had a great trip. We were picked up from our resort by Jaime who took great care of us all day. We really enjoyed snorkeling in the wonderful underground cave, it cooled us off nicely after flying through the jungle. The zip lines were great, we really enjoyed the super man and hammock zip lines. The tour or the ruins at Tulum was hot but very interesting. Jaime gave us lots of great information and the views were spectacular. We thought this experience offered a nice variety of activities and was good value. The food include after our cave snorkel was delicious!

This was an absolute highlight of our vacation! We were picked up on time by Luis F. (best tour guide ever!), we made a couple of stops for more people and headed out into the trees! I loved how the adventure location was not overly "touristy" looking and was really deep in the trees. (That said, the facilities were well maintained.) The ziplines were a blast, and the staff all the way through were helpful and friendly and safety oriented. I never felt unsafe. The cenote was beautiful, and I appreciated how Luis stressed not wearing sunscreen, bug spray, etc. in the water and really explained the history and ecology of the space. (He also helped get this claustrophobe through the smaller cave portion.) Lunch was delicious. And while we were asked if we wanted to buy our photos, there was no hard pressure sell. After changing into dry clothes, we were then taken down to Tulum for some great information on the history of the area, and then some time to walk around. I would recommend this adventure to anyone!

We loved this excursion. Our guides (Jimmy and Alfredo) picked us up on time. We only had to pick up others from one nearby resort. The van was comfortable and had enough seats for all. The zipline location had clean restrooms, changing rooms, lockers, and souvenirs. The order of the day is different for each group. We did the zipline first, then repelled, then the cenote, lunch, and Tulum last. The staff on the zipline were all about safety and very friendly. Between them and our guides, those who were nervous completed all 7 lines and had fun. The cenote is incredible! You will be outfitted with floatation vests and snorkels. Everything was sanitized and clean. Lunch was delicious and authentic. The guides eat lunch there, too. Tulum was also amazing. The history of the place is amazing. There is a marketplace (ice cream, cerveza, t-shirts, vanilla, souvenirs) at the entrance of the ruins but there wasn't much time to shop, unless you zip in and out of the ruins. The weather for us was cloudy, rainy, and breezy; pretty enjoyable really. Our guides were very knowledgeable about each activity, from technical expertise with ziplines to history of the cenotes and Mayan culture. They had a great sense of humor and were fun to hang out with. We thought the price was very fair for all the activities, lunch, and transportation. Our kids are 15 and 18 and enjoyed the day. We highly recommend.

This Xtreme Tulum tour provided by Aventuras Mayas was absolutely amazing!! We had the best guide, Jonathan, and he made the tour perfect! He was funny and knowledgeable, and most importantly passionate about what he does. We were picked up in an air conditioned van in playa del Carmen and stopped at their headquarters to get our driver and guide, were served fruit and coffee, then headed to Tulum where we visited the ruins. From there our guide Jonathan took us to the zipline tour in the jungle and then we were served a great Mexican lunch (huge buffet with cold beverages and all you can eat) then given a locker to hold our belongings and changed up to take the cenote snorkel tour. Our guide Jonathan was patient and made us laugh the entire time and we were lucky enough to have gotten to take the tour privately with just ourselves and our guide. I’m so glad we booked with Aventuras Mayas! Stick to larger companies like this because they keep it safe and treat you like VIP guests, making the entire tour comfortable and fun. It is sooo worth it!!

What was good about this excursion? Our guide in Tulum, Raul, was knowledgeable (spoiler alert: I'm a history teacher, so I am not easily impressed!) and personable. Booking this tour lets you take the bus to the ruins and avoid a lot of the lines, so that was a plus. Sergio at the facility was great in helping us zipline and swim in the cenote. I think the cenote was everyone's favorite. All in all it was a good day and my family of 4 had fun. What was not good about this excursion? It is much further from Cancun than I expected. It was a loooonnnng day with a lot of driving. We were picked up at 7:40am and dropped back at our hotel 11 hours later with over 4 hours on the road. Our driver was nice but didn't speak English and so no one in the van had any idea what was going on. We stopped halfway to Tulum and no one knew why. Our group didn't know where to go after the ruins. And we were totally confused on the ride home. A little communication before the trip would have helped. Some of the folks in our van didn't even know lunch was included. And no one brought a towel which the facility does not provide even after swimming in the cenote.
