This was a well designed tour that included a large number of incredible sites, mostly very good accommodation and excellent guiding. It was good value for money and with some improvements to communication, it would be a perfect 5/5 holiday. We were shown around sites such as the Hagia Sophia, Ephesus, Pamukalle and Cappadocia by friendly guides who shared both their deep historical knowledge and some facts about life in Turkey. Chatting to the guides in between sites gave us a chance to ask other questions about Turkish culture, social norms and politics. The guides brought us to great restaurants for lunch and helped us navigate the delights of Turkish cuisine. There was a huge volume of attractions, including local handicrafts, geological formations, ancient ruins, an underground town and a restored caravanserai. The accommodation was mostly really good, including some delicious Turkish breakfasts, with just one night spent somewhere less than ideal (not terrible, just a slightly run-down hotel above a noisy bar). The hotel in Cappadocia was particularly good, in charming stone buildings with friendly staff and some of the tastiest breakfast I've ever eaten. Improved communication and more information about the trip would've improved the experience, such as knowing more about where we'd be staying and how the airport pick-ups worked. While the driver and guide for the days from Izmir to Kayseri were exceptionally good, the airport pickup on the return to Istanbul was poor, and involved waiting on a busy traffic island for about 20 minutes before being led through dangerous lanes of traffic in the airport drop-off area to our taxi by a slightly rude man with an iPad. Overall, this was a great holiday, which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone interested in Turkey and its history.

I took this tour and it was incredible! It is definitely the best and most memorable experience in my life thanks to Curio Travel and our guide Ozzy. Curio Travel did a great job organizing this amazing tour, and Ozzy ,our guide, was so kind and very knowledgeable of the places we visited in Turkey. I highly recommend this tour to everyone !

Visiting Turkey on its own is an awesome experience. Curio Travel's Tour elevates the experience of Turkey from awesome to incredible. From the beginning Curio takes care of your airport transfers, and Tour Guides will pick you up from your hotel. In my experience, many Tours often require you to go to a meeting point, so Curio exceeds expectations as far taking care of transit and makes things conveniently simple by having Guides pick you up. In this case my guide was Ozgur. Ozgur was very well informed and overall, a very nice guy. He shares his deep knowledge of Turkey's history. He also makes excellent suggestions for where to dine. I also appreciated his sense of humor. It definitely elevated my experience in Turkey and the tour. Drivers are also courteous. Overall, the Tour has great picks for what to see in Western Turkey. When I return to Turkey, I definitely plan to book with Curio again.

I have been on many tours in countless countries and I believe this was the best tour I ever had. The guides were highly informative and I had a great time with Ozzy as our tour guide. He was super kind and extremely knowledgeable about everything turkey related. I was amazed by how much the guides knew and they were always ready to answer our questions. Turkey was such a beautiful country rich with history, things to see, and filled with kind people. The tour definitely enhanced those feelings and I hope to come back again.

We did a tour that started in Istanbul, went to Ephesus, then Pamukale and on to Cappadocia. Everything worked perfectly. On all our airport transfers someone was waiting for us on arrival. Our guides were Serkan and Melih who were both informative, accommodating and interesting. They made the trip. Our driver for most of our tour was Vicek and he did a great job. The meals were usually very good and the hotels ranged from okay to amazing. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to visit Turkey.
