First let me say the experience was very good. I've been to several in the states. This was my first abroad.

The actual class and chef were excellent.
Cleanliness was excellent. Instructions were clear and fun. The chef even went so far to whip up Gluten free gnocchi at the last minute for my wife. Which by the way were pillows of heaven and if I may be so bold to say I am an authority on at least eating them, as I order it just about any opportunity I have. Sorry I digressed. The chef even gave us the recipe.

Some small nits I do have about the class, but shouldn't stop you from going as the value for the money is well spent, IMHO. Expect to wait on a small corner when you meet up for the class. The operators should find a better initial location. The other is lighting. The kitchen lighting is spot on. Where you dine and get initial instruction before going into the kitchen is however poorly lit. The lighting is sterile cold blue LED. The artwork doesn't help as what is currently displayed is bold black brush strokes. Tables and chairs were functional but did not improve the experience. Correct these and the experience would have been outstanding.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Florence. Walter, our chef, was engaging and funny while teaching us how to make our meal. It was very educational as far as cooking goes. In the end, we were very impressed with ourselves . . . the food was delicious! We are now inspired to get our own pasta machine - who knew making pasta could be so simple? We also met some great people and enjoyed their company throughout the experience. I highly recommend this Tuscan cooking class to anyone visiting Florence. It is money well spent and you won't be disappointed.

Was a great experience! We learned many skills and had the opportunity to make several recipes. Dinner was very good afterwards. Only issue we had was the food was not very hot when served.

We didn’t love this tour like we did most of our other events. The class did not provide wine until the end (which is not what we imagined). The food we made was not very good either. This is a “skip” for us next time.

It was tucked into a tiny little building on the north end of town. The company was running 3 classes at once, it was so noisy that we couldn't understand our instructor and he ended up doing about 1/2 of the prep work for us.... There simply was too much going on there for it to be fun, educational, or enjoyable. The idea sounded good, but just wasn't done well especially given the price.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this class! Chefs and support staff were completely professional, engaging, patient, and fun! We had a great time learning a lot and then enjoying a delicious meal! Special thanks and appreciation to Chef Walter for accommodating us by including the gnocchi, which we were expecting because of a misprint. Grazie e Buon Appetito!

No issues with food and staff. Delicious. However, on our confirmation we were given was a cornein Florence. No address. Many people were complaining about that. However, we were told to be at location 15 minutes early to meet someone in a yellow jacket. The girl showed up 10 min late with no explanations which meant we waited 25 min. Frustrating.

We loved the environment of the event and overall experience. We would have enjoyed a few options for cooking and more time so we weren’t as rushed. Would do it again!

  • 05-Nov-2018

This was Lots of fun and well worth it. Chef was funny and instructive and we made four items appetizer, 2nd course pasta, 3rd course entree and dessert. Then we all sat down and enjoyed it with wine. And no dishes to clean up.
