We had the best time. I am glad that our family is athletic because it is a bit challenging at first, but it was so worth it! We had an amazing time and our tour guide was absolutely awesome!!!

The 5 star ratings are totally accurate! We booked this based on reviews and it was our favorite activity on our European vacation! It was also my 16 year old sons favorite. Fabulous tour guide. Beautiful sightseeing including Tuscany countryside beautiful olive grove city views from up high and a church/monestary. There are some uphills in the first half but you can request an e-bike though we were keen to stretch our legs. Lovely break in the middle at a gorgeous sport for wine and cheese. It was a great activity to get out to the heat and feel the breeze, and get out of the city. Everyone should do this tour - assuming you can ride a bike :). Absolutely a trip highlight for us!!

Amazing!!! Easily one of the best days we’ve had during our most recent holiday to Italy! Due to the extreme heat, we took the e-bike option (which was kindly offered as an upgrade) and we loved it. We’re 55 and 54 and although we are reasonably fit and ride push bikes, we’d not ridden e bikes before - but Giuseppe carefully and thoughtfully explained how to ride them in detail. He checked we were confident before we left and immediately after we began. He made us feel very safe and comfortable and welcome to ask for any help, should we need it. The itinerary was outstanding with stunning views of the Florence from the surrounding hills. We made a few stops along the way for discussions about local points of interest, to get water, and then for a lovely lunch at a boutique winery and olive oil farm. We rode up many steep hills during the day but the e-bikes made it a dream!! Some roads were narrow but we were carefully guided through by Giuseppe and we felt safe the entire time. Down hill sections were fun, but you need to make sure you’re concentrating as it is still on open roads and you can get to quite a fast speed (if you wanted to). One small section near the farm was on a dirt track, and we were made to feel entirely comfortable if we wanted to walk that section. The other participants on the ride were equally lovely (thanks Paul, Marla and Gabe).

We loved the bike tour! Andrea made sure everyone’s bikes were set up to their needs, and taught everyone how to use their bikes’ gearing/e-bike settings. We climbed some hills and enjoyed great views. We learned about the local plants, buildings, and people. The wine and olive oil tasting was a nice break from the biking and outside. Group was small enough and everyone was very nice. It was a nice way to get the blood really pumping during our 10-day stay in Italy.

Very enjoyable four hour bike ride tour of Florence and surrounding area. Our tour guide Amar was a fun guide, very knowledgable of Florence and its history. The tour included stops at some historical spots and vantage points overlooking the city as well as a pleasant stop for lunch which comprised a glass of wine, some breads with olive oil and local cold meats (no cheese for us, although some other reviews mentioned sampling it). A number of reviews mention the hills however if you are 50s or younger and fairly fit, then I'd say they aren't that bad. The first hill is quite long but not particularly steep and we stopped halfway for a break. Others were steeper but quite short. If you are older or not particularly fit then go with an e-bike (25 Euros more per bike).

Eli was the perfect our guide. Beside being absolutely adorable, his knowledge of the history of the area and its many lores - he educated us on the topography and the many trees that grow around the area with their historical signify and practical usage. We won’t sugar coat this - the hills we’re rough right out of the gate. The ride itself isn’t long but not easy. The steep climbs are indeed quite steep and require good quad strength but not impossible. The views were spectacular and our “snack” at the end in a wonderful trattoria over looking a beautiful and fragrant garden was scrumptious. There were accommodations for those with dietary restriction and allergies. For instance- my husband and I don’t eat pork. What we received were three dishes. caponata, cous cous and a vegetable bread spread with two different cheese with a cup of honey…excellent. Unlimited bread and the others had a huge tray of Italian meats. And of course…..Wine and Olive Oil which Eli gave us some interesting history and lessons on. The bike are in really good shape. One women did use an e bike and she was thrilled of its performance on the hills. We would recommend this 4.5 hour tour. Make sure you wear your sunscreen and are ready for a work-out for ANY level of fitness. We loved Eli and would highly recommend him for a guide.

This was such a wonderful tour! We took a ride with Jacopo and a small group, and it was completely delightful—and so well-organized. We were surprised by how much we enjoyed it, and how astonishing the sights were along the way. My husband and I can be intimidated by riding within any city/metro area (because of traffic) but this was a really comfortable excursion and all of the legs were broken up well and beautifully-paced...and Jacopo was terrific about giving guidance around how to anticipate and navigate any traffic, even when launching from the Porta Romana. Also, Italians just have an entirely different culture around respect for cyclists, which was evident from the get-go. We felt comfortable and secure the whole way through, especially with support from our guide. This was a great way to see the outskirts of the city; our ride was beautiful, and I loved the route that was plotted out. This course took us up to the back end of Arcetreci and some fairly pastoral sections of outer Florence. It was a really pleasant ride, and Jacopo provided plenty of excellent context and historical detail along the way, along with practical information about the region. I especially appreciated the lectures that he gave about wine (and Chianti/super Tuscan wines) as well as the incredible vignette about San Miniato al Monte and Miniato's mega-trek from Fiesole to the Oltrarno...which I have never heard before, despite being pretty familiar with the town & the history. Jacopo was intelligent, quippy, and had a fantastic way of facilitating a thoughtful lecture while remaining entertaining and accessible. His vignettes about the Ponte Vecchio during the Nazi occupation were fascinating! We loved our stops along the way, especially for the olive oil and wine tasting--and my husband talked poor Jacopo's ear off about music and local live music recommendations. (But he really appreciated all of the tips and insights that Jacopo had to offer, as a local musician.) We would do this again in a heartbeat...it was beyond fantastic, and definitely exceeded expectations. We would probably sign up for a full day tour the next time (because we were intrigued by the Chianti day trip) but what we experienced was super manageable and very well-curated. We loved it, and would recommend it to anyone. Everyone at the company was super welcoming and accommodating at the beginning and end of our day, and we felt very well-supported all throughout the experience. Thank you for such a lovely memory! We hope to return soon, but will certainly send our friends and fellow travelers your way.

Eli was an excellent guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable and fun. This ride/tasting was a highlight of our trip to Italy. Will recommend to others. A must do!!

My two late teen boys and I took the tour and it was a highlight of our trip. We loved getting out of town to the more rural and beautiful setting. Eli was a superb guide that was friendly and informative. We could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you for offering a unique tour with wonderful guides. Eli even spotted us when we were out for dinner that night and came over to say hello. That is above and beyond and the guide all people hope to get! THANK YOU!

The history lessons from our excellent tour guid, Giuseppe, exceeded expectations. Scenery 10/10, including a cloudburst mid ride, but the final destination at the villa was worth the ride alone. Would recommend for most levels but the hill is deceivingly steep, so mentally prepare. Plenty of breaks built in. Some on the busy fast roads but just don’t play “tour de France” and you’ll be fine!
