Know More about this tour

Take the ‘one-day, sightseeing tour of Tuscany from Rome’ and be ready to discover the lovely Italian region with a local guide by your side.

Your Tuscany tour starts by traveling from Rome to Tuscany in a luxury coach. Traveling along the scenic road showing rolling hills, we will first stop at Montepulciano, a town renowned for its fine wine and views. The Renaissance hilltown is best-known for its production of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, a full-bodied red wine. Learn about it on a walking tour and discover highlights such as the Florence-style clock tower, the cathedral with its yet-to-be-finished facade, medieval wine cellars, and the old town walls.

From the farm, travel on to Pienza, one of the region’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Here, enjoy up to 45 minutes of free time to explore. The layout of the town was created by Pope Pius II, who wanted to change the look of his birth town. Admire the historic center, which stays true to the pope’s vision, and gaze at the fine architecture that abounds. If you are a fan of food, check the shops for pecorino cheese, arguably Pienzas most prized product.

Your day trip finishes with your coach journey back from Tuscany to Rome.

FANTASTIC! This was a truly wonderful experience. Chiara, our guide was wonderful and always made sure we were having a great time. The towns of Montepulciano and Pienza were absolutely breathtaking. The winery and wine was incredible. Can't say enough good things about this tour and City Wonders.

Very interesting your!!!! The countryside is absolutely beautiful, and the villages are stunning. What a wonderful experience! And then there's the wine and food pairing to top it off. Excellent wines and the most welcoming and gracious hosts. This is a fantastic tour, and we would easily repeat this one the next time we are in the area!!

Such a cool tour for both one-timers to Italy and those interested in exploring the countryside. It offered new places that I would definitely want to go back to for a full stay.

The tour was terrific a full day and very enjoyable. Our guide Laura was very good and explained and answered many questions. Recommend to take this tour

We did not get our full tour that we paid for. City Wonders is a greedy company that will take your money even during a full dangerous storm. Our tour was shortened and we had inability to hear what was said in the city due to the storm. They should have cancelled tour based on extreme weather.

Unsafe Transportation without seatbelts going high speeds on the rainy freeway 3 hours.

Unsafe Tour due to Storm. Umbrellas were breaking and customers seeking any shelter.

City Wonders would not address any of our concerns and refused to give any refund. They will selectively respond to complaints and concerns and not address what went wrong.

This is a wonderful tour. Our tour guide, Antonina, was so patient and delightful. She gave us a lot of information and was very delightful to have with us. Also, our tour guide in Tuscany (don't recall her name) was exuberant and kept us at a good pace; we were able to take pictures and didn't feel rushed. The sisters at the farm restaurant where we ate and did the wine tasting were great! Plenty of food and the wine was excellent of course.

Laura was very knowledgable and shared really interesting facts about the areas whilst keeping the tone light and friendly.
The coach was very comfortable throughout. Thank you

Andy was our guide. He was amazing. Very informative about Tuscany. He was very friendly and made the tour enjoyable. Heave recommendations about places to eat, to visit, and how to get there. This tor requires you to walk up the mountain of Montepulciano so you need to be able to walk steep inclines and declines.
