  • Fantastic trip with exremely passionate guide, Claudio, to beautiful Siena and San Gimignano. Claudios enthusiasm for the history, knowledge of the region and kindness made the trip much better than we expected. Claudio not only told us about the sites at the destinations but also all along the way and his excitement made us appreciate each fact and site even more. I would say it was the highlight of our trip to Italy, other than visiting our daughter, which included Rome, Florence and Venice. The stop for wine tasting and lunch was also fun, but I would have gladly traded that for lunch and more time in either Siena or San Gimignano which are both breathtaking locations. In Siena we were able to walk to the basilica and tour the inside which was quite impressive. We also made our way to the square and took in the sights there. In San Gimignano we walked some of the streets to a spot with a beautiful view of the Tuscan countryside and then crossed the town to the other gate.
All in all a great trip. A long ride from Rome but if your plans do not allow you to visit here from Florence or spend a day or two, like us, then this is a great way to add it in. Thanks also to the driver, Luc, who navigated the crazy traffic with ease.
