Know More about this tour

Start your evening with pickup from your central Innsbruck hotel, and then travel to Sandwirt Restaurant, where you'll enjoy your Tyrolean evening with its owners, the welcoming Gundolf family. Austrian folk music has been played by the family since the 18th-century, meaning you’ll see the most authentic dances that have been passed down through generations.

Upon arrival you'll be served a complimentary drink (a glass of beer, wine or a soft drink) and then take your seat to watch the 1.5-hour show. Dressed in typical Austrian attire of lederhosen and dirndls, the dancers will keep you entertained with raucous yodeling, cow-bell ringing and folk dancing. Clap along with dances like the Schuhplattler, a jig where shoes are slapped at each other (originally danced by Tyrolean men to woo the ladies), and then stamp your feet to the woodchopper’s dance -- Tiroler Holzhackertanz.

If you’re eager to really immerse yourself in Austrian culture for the evening, then upgrade to include a 3-course meal with your show. Eat either before or during the performance, feasting on Austrian specialties like wiener schnitzel (breaded pork scallops served with lemon). See below for a sample menu.

After the show, you'll be taken back to your hotel.

  • Wonderful - SO enjoyable!

  • What a great evening. We were picked up on time and transported to the venue where they gave us dinner if schnitzel - not bad either. We were the taken in the main hall and seated close to the stage. The show was great with yodelling, folk dancing with ladenhosen, alpen horns and the whole works. The crowd were involved all the way through this laugh a minute but brilliantly performed Austrian Folk Spectacular. Plenty of good beer as well. A must see, good time show.

  • Enjoyed the show and food.

  • Me and wife very much liked the Tyrolese show in Innsbruck. It was a wonderful experience. The performers are talented, The dinner was not up to the mark. Also Viator arranged the transportation from our hotel. Thank you Viator.

  • The show itself was great and deserved 5 stars. The meal was quite poor and my suggestion is just do the show.

  • A very nice and authentic way to be introduced to Innsbruck. Good family fun! The pick up from your hotel may be by Taxi or by a cast member so just be on the lookout on the planned pick up time. The show was great and the finale makes everyone feel involved and one of the family! Dinner was a set menu and fairly tasty. My husband and I enjoyed our evening even though we weren't part of one of the several tour groups enjoying the show.

  • We enjoyed this very much. One of the members of the cast picked us up at our hotel and returned us from the two hour show. We had the dinner served to us during the show. The meal of weiner schnitzel, salad, and apple strudel was good with beer or wine for beverages. The show was very fun. A very fun evening!

  • Transport was on time, the dinner was pleasant, but a bit rushed, the show was outstanding, the singing and dancing was great, the performers were very professional, seating is a bit confusing, but it works in the end.id probably suggest no dinner ,just the show.the staff serving drinks and dinner were very busy and did a great job.

  • The Tyrolean Folk show was AMAZING.....a must see if you are in Innsbruk... traditional costumes, instruments, yodelling, singing and slap-dancing. The Gundolf family has the show very well rehearsed. It was well worth the money. We booked on line before we left Canada. They communicated with us promptly by email when we had questions.. A taxi picked us up from the city centre, and a van took us back. We were able to change seats to the upper second row so we had great seats. Included was a free drink each. Be aware that there is lots of tour groups.

  • This was an amazing show. We listened and saw all kinds of Tyrolean music and instruments along with singing and dancing. Totally awesome. The performers had lots of energy and talent. The only thing I would change is air conditioning for the audience on 30 degree days. Still...a great show.
