Day 02: Breakfast at the hotel
Your tour starts with a drive along the picturesque Jumeirah beach area, home to modern-day Palaces. Make a photo-stop at the iconic sail-shaped Burj al arab hotel, voted the World’s most luxurious. Next you drive onto the trunk of Palm jumeirah, first in a trilogy of three Palm tree-shaped islands reclaimed off the coast of Dubai, for a closer inspection of its villa encrusted fronds. Make a photo-stop near the US$1.5b Atlantis Resort, embodying the bold new face of this megalopolis then continue along the coast for a drive around the world’s largest artificially created Dubai marina and see firsthand how desert land has transformed into a vibrant community in a matter of years. Your tour then takes you to Burj khalifa Downtown district you visit Burj Khalifa. At 828 meters the tallest building in the world inspires awe like no other. A high-speed elevator ascends to the Observation Deck at 10 meters per second. As the doors open on Level 124, floor-to-ceiling glass walls provide breathtaking 360-degree views of the city, desert and ocean sprawled beneath. After 30 minutes at leisure, descend to reality before returning. After this sensory overload and in complete contrast to the modern face of Dubai, you will drive next to Bastakiya area in the Old Quarter for a tantalizing glimpse of Dubai’s yesteryears. See the former merchant’s houses with their 'Barajeels' wind-towers, the earliest form of air-conditioning. On your return, there is time to stroll at the most famous landmark of Dubai – the Gold souk.
Evening Desert safari with BBQ Dinner This tour departs in the afternoon across the desert with photo-stops during an exciting dune drive and a stop at a camel farm. The drive continues across the desert. Watch the beautiful sunset in the desert. Reach our campsite, where you have the opportunity to do camel riding, sand boarding and try out a henna design on hands or feet. Witness the traditional folk dance Tanoura that is sure to mesmerize you. After working up an appetite enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner and a shisha (the famous Arabic water pipe). Discover the highlights of Abu Dhabi, capital of the Emirates, known as the Arabian Jewel. Jebel Ali Port, the biggest man-made port in the world is one of the landmarks that we pass on the way to Abu Dhabi. On arrival, the first destination is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. We then continue to visit the Sheikh Zayed Centre to get a glimpse into the private life of H.H. Sheikh Zayed, who is often referred as “The Father of the UAE”. Our final stop is the Heritage Village where we journey to the past to explore the life before oil was discovered. On our return, we drive along the beautiful Corniche. Dress Code for the Mosque: Loose long trousers or long skirts & long sleeves. No shorts for men, no tight & transparent clothing. Day 04: Breakfast at Hotel Abu Dhabi – Al Ain Enjoy a great day out taking the sights and sounds of the beautiful Garden City of Al Ain. Drive through the fascinating and ever changing desert scenery before reaching the Hajar Mountains. On arrival, visit Al Ain Museum and the renovated Old Palace of H.H. Sheikh Zayed, the late ruler of Abu Dhabi and the late President of the UAE. Stroll around the nearby Al Ain Oasis and see the ancient Falaj (irrigation system) developed by the Persians more than 3,000 years ago. The last destination is the Camel market, the largest in the UAE. From here you drive to a city hotel and enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch before driving to your hotel and stay overnight. • Overnight at Hilton Al Ain or similar
Day 05: Breakfast at Hotel Al Ain–Nizwa
Drive to the UAE/Oman border at Mazyad and cross into Oman after completing Visa formalities. Proceed to Nizwa via Ibri, en-route visiting the most beautiful fort in Oman - Jabreen Castle, also called the ‘Palace of Bilayaroub’, a beautiful fort with ceiling decoration and an impressive architecture. Stop in Bahla with its Unesco listed fort still under restoration. Bahla is also famous for its potteries. The drive continues to Tanuf, a ghost village, and now a days used as a backdrop for historical movies, before reaching Nizwa - the former political capital of Oman and its most important interior town. • Overnight at Falaj Daris Hotel, Nizwa or similar
Day 06: Breakfast at Hotel Nizwa – Muscat We start with a visit to the impressive 17th century Nizwa fort and souk, known for its traditional Bedouin silver jewellery. Drive then to the capital city of Oman – Muscat. On the way we stop at Birkat al Mauz village. On arrival at Muscat, drive to the Old Town where we proceed on foot, strolling around the 16th century Portuguese-built forts Jalali and Mirani and Qasr Al Alam, the Palace of HM Sultan Qaboos. Your next stop is at Bait Al Zubair Museum, one of Oman’s finest private collections showcasing the country’s culture, tradition and heritage. Drive next to Muttrah, a delightful quarter of Muscat and step into the fish market, then stroll along the Corniche to admire the beautiful merchant houses and experience the shopping in its busy souk, well known for its silver craft shops, perfumes, souvenirs and much more. • Overnight at Al Falaj Hotel, Muscat or similar
Day 07: Breakfast at Hotel Muscat – Nakhl-Muscat
The tour begins by driving through the beautiful embassy quarter of Muscat en route to Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque (not on Fridays). We stop for photos of the mosque, a splendor of unique Islamic architecture. Then we drive through Seeb, a suburb of Muscat. The drive continues along the famous Batinah plain, the main agricultural area of Oman to the oasis of Nakhl, with time to visit the impressive fort. Next you visit the natural mineral springs of Ain Thowarah. Return to Muscat city.
