Know More about this tour

Rise and shine for early-morning pickup from your Flagstaff or Seodna hotel. Youll be taken by mini-coach through to the Grand Canyon National Park.

First, visit Wupatki National Monument, wherein lies the remarkable ruins of the ancient Native American civilization of Sinagua, who lived here for 400 years but then vanished without a trace. As your guide will explain, these ancient desert dwellers witnessed the dramatic eruption of Sunset Crater Volcano nearly a millennium ago, which destroyed their homes and forced them out.

Learn about the eruption of Sunset Crater as you visit nearby Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, where youll see the expansive fields of lava youve just heard about. At midday, head to the historic Cameron Trading Post for a sit-down lunch at the restaurant. Chat with your fellow travelers as you enjoy a wonderful Navajo taco lunch which blends American, Native American and Mexican cuisine in the spacious dining room adorned with antique cabinets and Native American art including Navajo rugs and baskets. Enjoy the view of the Little Colorado River Gorge from the deck or warm up next to the fireplace.

After lunch, hop back in the mini-coach and venture into the Grand Canyon for an afternoon of exploring this magnificent natural wonder. This portion of the tour includes stupendous views from Grand Canyon National Parks East Rim and South Rim. Stop at lookout points to soak up dramatic vistas of the canyon and gorges below, and have free time to explore at your own pace by foot. Keep an eye out for wildlife including the endangered California Condor.

Throughout your tour, your expert guide will teach you about the history, archaeology, geology and flora and fauna of Grand Canyon National Park and Arizona as a whole. • The tour was probably one of the best we ever had and we have visited all continents. It was not only Great Canyon, but the whole experience which included amazing landscapes of Arizona, volcanic peaks, mountain ranges, pine forest. It was a very good lunch included in Navajo guest house, which certainly was better than some restaurant meals we had in Sedona. The success of the trip was in large part also due to our tour guide Mark. His knowledge of geology, history, fauna and flora kept our attention for all 11 hours of the trip. He is also a very gentle attentive helpful guide, who obviously enjoys his line of work. We would highly recommend it to anybody.

  • We had a wonderful day with Tim as our guide. He was conscientious about paying attention to each person on the tour and was extremely knowledgeable about all of the places we visited. This is my second tour using Viator and I highly recommend them.

  • This was a long, but very good tour with plenty of stops along the way. Our driver was Charlie and he was passionate about what he was showing the group. And, the lunch at the Navajo trading post was a pleasant surprise. Try the green chili stew if you like your food spicy. It was excellent.

  • The tour guide was very informed and make the day so pleasant.

  • I was a little unsure of taking the tour because of the cost but once we boarded the comfortable mini bus and got on the road I knew we had made the right decision. Mark was a fantastic guide telling us all sorts of interesting stories and facts about our surroundings. Before we arrived at The Cameron Trading Post for lunch he gave us several suggestions of what to order to get a taste of Navajo food. We were all delighted with our selections. I had the Navajo Taco and am ready for another one. Can't get anything like that where we live. Had a nice time eating and conversing with our fellow travelers. In no part of the tip did we feel rushed. Besides the Grand Canyon I enjoyed the Wupatki Village ruins and learning about their customs. We all agreed that if we had not taken the tour we would have missed much of the Grand Canyon. We saw so much and were able to get many memorable pictures of our trip. Thank you so much for a wonderful day spent.

  • We absolutely loved our tour with Kristen. She was knowledgeable, fun, and kept us on schedule. We were a group of 8 traveling from Sedona to The Grand Canyon and the company was very helpful with accommodating our luggage situation. We highly recommend this tour and will be back again!!

  • Very informative

  • Tim was a wonderful guide and shared all kinds of information about this amazing area. Group was the right size and stops were appropriately timed. If you are looking for a way to see the area and are pressed for time, this is a good option!

  • Lynn was awesome! She really made this adventure extra special. She was very informative and guided us throughout our entire tour. Get on her bus because she is worth the hours it takes to get through this trip. Well worth it and we thoroughly enjoyed every single minute! Thank you Lynn for making our first time to the Grand Canyon memorable!

  • What a wonderful day! Charlie was great fun and really informative with real depth of knowledge of Wupatki and the Grand Canyon. His obvious love of Arizona and his commentary of it's people, the changing vegetation and the geology made this an unforgettable day.
Charlie even found an elk with antlers for me!!!!
