Overview
Dating from the 11th century, At Benhaddou is the most famous Kasbah in Morocco and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was an important part of the ancient trade route over the High Atlas between Marrakech, Ouarzazate, and the Sahara. Near the top of the Tizi-n-Tichka pass at 2260m there are great panoramic views over the mountains as well as the snaking N9 road.This location dubbed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, in the province of Ouarzazate, has been used as a back drop for several films and is a worthwhile stop for photo enthusiasts. Farther along is the Kasbah of Tawrirt. It absolutely gives a background on past movies produced in the area.

The place is fantastic and it's a must see if you are in the area. Although we had booked the private tour we unfortunately got mixed up with another tour with around 15 other people, It took time and nervs to fix this since the tour operator and the driver were not really helpful...

We had a great trip to Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate with Yassine. Yassine is capable of speaking many languages, so communication for us (English) in the morning was no problem. We were collected in the heart of the souks close to our Riad. On the drive through the Atlas Mountains, Yassine provided us with plenty of information about the mountains and surrounding area. He also played a bit of Bryan Adams and Enrique Iglesias which was a bonus! On the way to Ait Ben Haddou, Yassine stopped numerous times so we could get photo opportunities of the mountains as well as taking us to an Argan Oil Women's Cooperative. On arrival at Ait Ben Haddou, Yassine arranged a local guide to take us through the heritage site which was extremely interesting. Couldn't recommended this trip and Yassine anymore

Our trip was very good . Everything was on time . Our driver , Hassan was very very nice with us . He shared a lot of knowledge with us and the make the time in the car a lot easier and made us forget about all the curves on the road . The spots where we stop between marrakech and ouarzazate were cool places to took pictures . The restaurant that Hassan took us was very good with typical food . If we go back to Marocco we definitely will contact to make the Sahara tour . All the best , Miguel and Teresa

Amine out driver was an excellent driver/guide. Answered all our questions and gave us loads of information re morrocco and Berber traditions. The day was fascinating and the drive through the Atlas mountains waswonderful. Ben Hadduh was a lovely place to visit and explore. All in all a wonderful day
