Know More about this tour

Depart your Ho Chi Minh City hotel after morning pickup and pass by rice fields as you approach the Mekong Delta. After about 2 hours, you'll reach Ben Tre and head to a nearby village to learn about its cultural heritage. Savor tropical fruits and honey tea, produced from the villagers' own beehives. Be enchanted by regional folk music before your journey continues via a small rowboat down the tranquil streams of the Mekong River.

Watch life along the riverbank before disembarking at a coconut candy workshop. Observe workers as the confection is boiled in pots, cut, and wrapped with precision. After a taste, continue on to an orchard restaurant via another boat trip down the mighty Mekong. If you selected a basic meal upon booking, you're served a typical Vietnamese lunch consisting of boiled rice and fried pork chops. The premium meal features Vietnamese pancakes, spring rolls, and fried fish from the river.

Afterward, board another boat for My Tho with a visit to Vinh Trang Pagoda, home for three impressive Buddhas. The old temple gates are decorated with artistic imagery made of broken ceramics, and the courtyard will mesmerize with myriad plants and flowers maintained by monks at the monastery.

Your full-day tour ends with the return coach ride to Ho Chi Minh City and drop-off at your hotel.

  • This tour is interesting and we had a great tour guide, Tony. Recommended.

  • The trip was good leaded by the good tour guide except the lunch provided.
It was not as good as what they posted on the review, the entire group was very disappointed with the food and it was our worst lunch in HCM trip.,

  • Simple and hassle free itinerary. The tour guide 'Tony' speaks very good english, make it easy for everyone from every corners of the world to understand the trip. Though it is a group tour, everyone get to experience the Mekong comfortably. A less costly and good way for solo traveller like me, to tour Mekong too.

  • A very enjoyable trip. The English speaking Guide was friendly and shared his knowledge.. Pleasant walk and boat rides.

  • Was a good one. The meal was overwhelming.

  • I went to the toilet during our toilet break and the tour guide left me whilst I was in there! I was left to catch the tour group! Luckily, a kind Vietnamese villager took me to the rest of the group on his motorcycle! The tour guide didn and #39;t even say and #39;Sorry and #39; and just didn and #39;t make eye contact with me!

  • A very good day trip with an informative guide.
Vinh Trang temple was awesome. Enjoyed the boat trip on the Mekong to Turtle Island.
Lunch was OK, prawns were not too fresh so didn't eat them. Sampan boat trip was nice.
Had to pay extra for afternoon tea and entertainment. Like tours that are all inclusive.
Interesting to see the making of coconut candy, very tasty. A good tour, worth doing.

  • A little chaotic and disorganised in the beginning, but overall quite relaxing and enjoyable. Seeing traditional village home-style production of candy and honey, with authentic Vietnamese lunch and entertainment.

  • I absolutely loved this tour! This was definitely the highlight of our trip to Vietnam. 'Long' was our tour guide for the day and he could not have made the day any more amazing than it was! Long was the perfect tour guide, his humor, intelligence, knowledge and organisation for the group was outstanding! You do not see the floating markets which i was not disappointed in. Long recommended that if you wanted to see the floating markets at the Mekong Delta that you should book a tour that is for 2 or 3 days long. The order of the places you see stated above is incorrect yet you do get to see everything. The bus trip is a total of 2 hours one way so you are on the bus for awhile. First you visit the buddhist temple at My Tho then you head to the Mekong Delta river where you catch a boat to an island where you will have lunch. We got the 'special' lunch and my goodness it was delicious, best decision of my life and there was sooo much food, you won't be left hungry! Then from lunch we jumped back onto the boat for about another 10 minutes, hope off at another stop and walk to a local village where they make the coconut candy, so delicious, plus you get the opportunity to hold a HUGE python around your neck for no charge at all. From the coconut candy village you hop on a small boat and let one of the villagers steer you around a smaller river off the mekong for about 20 minutes, a small tip is a good idea. You then hop off the boat and walk to another small village where they serve you hot honey bee tea and a selection of fruit, whilst you listen to some traditional music, a tip is almost encouraged here. Then its a short walk back to the bus and on your way home. I could not recommend this tour enough! You get to meet the locals, try local food and produce, and you are in an amazing environment that takes your breath away! The tour is a huge day and everyone ends up sleeping on the way back home. I would do this tour again if i had the opportunity to!

  • Excellent trip with great guide! Fun with paddling of the small sampan as well! Thumbs up!
