We met our guide Laura at the terminal and took cabs into the city. There were 6 in our group. She was very knowledgeable about everything. We walked around for about a half hour as she told us what we were seeing. We then took cabs to the Arts and Science center and walked around while Laura told us all about the place. It was beautiful but we didn’t go through the museum so when they say tickets are included, there were no tickets. We then walked a short distance to the tallest building in Valencia and had tapas with 4 different wine tastings. We met another group there and between 12 of us went through 12 bottles of wine and we had so much delicious food that I was still full at dinner time. This was a great tour and I highly recommend it.
As a couple we have taken many tours but this tour was the best. We actually took the wrong bus from the cruise ship but they had no problem meeting up with us. Amazing service. The tour was just 6 people and low key, they took their time explained all the sites and then took us back to their office for a roodtop wine tasting and tapas dinner. Great food, wine, amazing service and a view from their 33 floor office. Don't miss this tour. We loved it.
This was the best part of our 2019 vacation in Europe; we spent the day with Lara as she took us through old town Valencia, where we saw the beautiful farmers market and unique wall art. One image which I will not post because you must see it for yourself. But, the artist created a black and white image, after you take a picture of it, invert the colors and you will see pure art.
We then hopped into an excellent air conditioning car and drove over to the City of Arts and Science, which is out of this world. The structures in this part of town are one of a kind. Another must-see when you visit this beautiful city.
After our walk, we headed up to the tallest building in town where we had an outstanding lunch paired with great tasing wine.
We want to thank Lara and the rest of the folks at Sea Saffron, they made our trip, and we are looking forward to coming back to Valencia, Spain!
This tour was awesome. Our guide Nick was very knowledgeable about the city plus he was super sweet and cute! Was a great tour with the old town and new Arts and Sciences area included. The rooftop was beyond amazing with a great view and good tapas. Highly recommend this tour!
Where do I begin. It was all great. We were met by our guide Nick as we disembarked from our ship. Very personable young man. Escorted to our car and off we went, it was just my husband and I that morning. We started with a walk in the old town and the market. So much to see and wonderful history, the time flew by quickly. We were then taken to the arts and sciences centre which is blow mind. Not just in contrast to what we had seen but also in ambience. The tour ended as we went to a roof top apartment and were treated by Alejandro the chef and Nick to what seemed like an endless taste of Spanish cuisine tapas style. What an AMAZING way to spend a day! We have traveled and done many tours. This is one of the top. Make sure it is with Sea Saffron.
This tour was one of the highlights of our Mediterranean cruise. Our guide, Nacho was so genuine and down to earth. The Mercado Central was a spectacular sight to behold. If you are even sort of a foodie this place is like being a kid in a candy store. The sheer variety of produce, meats and seafood is staggering. And you can buy samplings of iberico ham to snack on (drool). If that’s not your bag they also have fresh Valencian orange juice and horchata to drink! The city of arts and sciences is quite spectacular to see as well, and the highest point (literally and figuratively) of this tour was the absolute tapas FEAST that is served to you in the rooftop penthouse of an apartment across the street from the City of Arts and Sciences. The wine was delicious and ample, and the food...oh my god the food. I have eaten in many high end restaurants and this food blew me away. The perfect balance between rustic and elegant. All with the beautiful sky from the penthouse balcony in front of you. Do yourself a favor and book this tour. The value far exceeds the price!!
This is a very personal and in depth tour. Will far exceed your expectations. We were a group of six and explored the old city, Market, and City of Art and Science; Then had an amazing Tapas and Wine feast prepared with fresh produce and area wines.
the views from the penthouse space left us speechless. One feels like a guest experiencing Valencia rather than a tourist....... Lara was our wonderful Guide and Nick the fabulous chef. You will really feel you have had a very personal five star experience. Simply one of the best tours my husband and i have had in our travels!!!!
Our family of 4 had a wonderful day with Nacho. On time, great divers/cars, knowledgeable tours of both historical centre and the
Outstanding from beginning to end. Tour guides Nacho and Paula were extremely knowledgeable as well as personable. Everything on this excursion was top notch. Chef Christina was very hospitable and the food and wine she cooked and served was the best we had in all of Spain. This is an excursion not to bee missed. Can't say enough. Book this trip a s a p.
I joined Eduardo Aguilar for a very informative tour of the market and Valencia's Old Town. We then joined guide Marina and two other guests to tour the spectacular City of Arts and Sciences. The tour was concluded by wine and tapas tasting in Christina's , a gourmet chef, private flat with spectacular views of Valencia. If you are enamored with history, modern architecture and ethnic food, you can't book a better excursion in Valencia.
