Overview
Enjoy a culinary adventure full of epicurean delights during this full-day wine tour and lunch from Valencia. Travel to two local wineries for a look at Valencias winemaking process and taste a variety of wines from the estates. Then sit down to a delicious Spanish lunch, accompanied by more regional wine. A guide will be on hand to offer insight into the areas history and culture, and roundtrip transportation from central Valencia is provided.

Start the tour in central Valencia, where youll meet up with an expert guide and board. Head about an hour outside the city, listening as the guide provides insight into the regions history and culture along the way.
Make your way to two local wineries for a detailed lesson in the winemaking process, including tours of the vineyards, grape reception casks, bottling, and storage rooms. Enjoy a wine tasting at both locations before sitting down to a traditional Spanish feast. Dine on delicious dishes made with natural ingredients and based on traditional recipes, and sip on more D.O. Utiel-Requena wine with the meal. At the end of the tour, board the bus back to Valencia and get dropped off in the city center.

De tour gaat langs twee niet al te grote wijnhuizen, waardoor de tour erg persoonlijk is. De tourgids heeft ruime kennis over wijnen in het algemeen, en begeleidde ons erg prettig in de wijnproeverijen. Bij beide wijnhuizen krijg je 3 wijnen, bij beiden met wat versnaperingen erbij. Als je van wijn houdt, en graag wat meer wil zien van Spanje dan alleen València, dan is deze tour erg aan te raden!

Wonderful day out, small group when we went which worked very well. Paulinus was a very well informed and pleasant guide who looked after us extremely well. The two wine tastings were nicely diverse and very enjoyable. Would highly recommend.

Paulo was an excellent guide, had us fully briefed en route to the first vineyard. The first visit was to Vera de Estenas, a small family run outfit. After a very interesting tour around the premises (and vines), we tasted his delicious wine. Afterward a couple of purchases, off we went to the next venue, which was a large more commercial outfit called Vicente Gandia. Again, an interesting tour around the very different set-up (the contrast clear to see). Another taste of the wines there, although personally I preferred the smaller producers' wines. Paulo took us to a lovely homely restaurant closeby, for a delicious meal. Was very lovely to snooze on the way home with quiet classical music played in our minibus :) Would wholeheartedly recommend.

Valeria was absolutely wonderful. Enthusiastic and very knowledgeable ! We ended having a private tour and she took very good care of us. She even went out of her way to accomodtae out request to visit the nearby fair. Thank you for making this a memorable tour.

It was very pleasant day with Rick our host. He was very patient and unassuming. The wine tours were great and the lunch was very good too. Rick recommended a good restaurant for that evening in the old town of Valencia. It was a good one too.
The next morning I saw Rick in the Park with a group of cyclist and we had a brief chat about his recommended restaurant. -

We really enjoyed our experience. Paul was a great host, plus has a unique personal background. The two wineries we visited were quite interesting, had a fascinating history, and we learned a lot. We also got to see some rural Spain and had a very good lunch in a small village. We highly recommend it.
