Know More about this tour

Leave central Venice by air-conditioned minivan, and then travel west with your driver-guide to the region of Valpolicella, a gorgeous winemaking area spread around the city of Verona and Lake Garda. Peppered with medieval towns and rustic vineyards, Valpolicella is home to treasures aplenty that the tourist maps often miss.
Stop in the town of San Giorgio for a look inside its 13th-century church with its magnificent altar. Predating the church by nearly five centuries, the stone-canopied altar is the Church of San Giorgios crowning glory, beautifully preserved and complete with its original carvings. Head outside to take in views over the lakeside town of Sirmione set against Lake Garda, and then continue your journey through the region.
Pass along country roads fringed by olive groves and vineyards, and then stop at a local winery for a tour. Explore the vineyard and learn about the prestigious amarone wine thats produced in the region. Translating as the great bitter, amarone is a rich and dry red wine thats made from partially dried Valpolicella grapes. Sample a selection of the estates wine, and perhaps purchase a bottle to take home, if you wish.
Continue from the rural countryside to the town of Verona, the historical home of the worlds best-known love story: Romeo and Juliet. Enjoy roughly three hours of free time to explore the city independently. Ask your driver-guide for a cafe recommendation for lunch (own expense), shop til you drop at Piazza delle Erbe or pay a visit to Juliets House to see the balcony that inspired Shakespeare.
Meet your driver-guide at the prearranged time, and then relax on your journey back to Venice. Your day trip finishes with a drop-off at the start point.

  • Great day wonderful area, good service, wine was fab, all good.

  • I found this tour to be very enjoyable. The winery we visited gave us a nice overview of the winemaking process for Amarone and the wine estate was very beautiful. Our guide recommended a lovely place in Verona for lunch. All in all, a very wonderful day. Highly recommended.

  • This was an excellent tour. Beautiful countryside. It was a great introduction to wine from this region.

  • Small group with a friendly driver. Wine tour was okay but only 3 to try, Verona was easy to get around, a little more time would have been nice

  • Great day with Simon. Beautiful winery Massi with scenery to die for. Good wine. Verona was also very nice, easy to get around

  • Waste of time and money. Took 1 1/2 hours to get to the winery and two hours to get back from Verona. The tour guide only spoke to the 2 passengers in the front seat and had such a soft voice that the three of us in the back couldn't hear a thing. When we asked him to speak louder his answer was the he could not talk and drive at the same time. At 356.80 for two persons, this is unacceptable. There should have been an additional tour guide to fill the time on facts of the region.

  • Very nice experience in the Masi vineyard.

  • This was an excellent tour from Venice. It took a little over an hour to get to the winery. Met the owner of the winery and then took a tour of their process ending with a wine tasting of their wines. We then proceeded to Verona where we had several hours to have lunch and visit a few of Verona's sites. Our tour guide was excellent and very personable. We spend 2 weeks in Europe and this was one of the highlights of our trip. I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in wine.

  • Really really loved these places we visited and the vineyard was magnificent. However Could definitely have done with some input from the driver which was totally missing. Met some other great people from other parts of the world. LOVE this part of Italy and cant wait to visit again someday

  • Loved this trip! Verona is absolutely beautiful and affordable. I would do this tour again!
