Know More about this tour

Your full-day shore excursion begins when you are met at the Vila Main Wharf at 9am (dependent on when your cruise ship arrives) by your guide who will be holding a sign board with your name on it. You will be transported from the Vila Main Wharf and will head on a brief drive through the busy town of Port Vila.

Your first stop of the morning will be at a Cultural Village. You will be able to see the local artifacts and tools that the locals used to use on a daily basis to survive in the islands. This is a trip back in Vanuatus history. Following this you will watch a short cultural dance performance before having a walk around a small zoo section of the village to see some of the islands wildlife.

The second stop of the day is at Naiwe Beach. Here you will get to see turtles which are over 100-years old. They are the main attraction of Naiwe Beach. If you wish you can also have a snorkel at the beautiful beach nearby.

Third stop is at the Blue Lagoon. You will get to swim in a natural swimming pool of refreshing crystal blue water.

Next you will have a chance to do your duty free shopping. Vanuatu has great deals on duty free and doing this at the end of the tour means you dont have to carry your shopping around all day.

Lastly visit the wharf market. You will have time to walk through the mamas market before getting back on-board your cruise ship.

Highly recommend this tour - we were picked up just outside the Port gates by Oliver holding up a whiteboard sign - who was just terrific. He took us first to the Blue Lagoon after a 45 minute drive which gave Oliver plenty of time to tell us about their way of life - Not too many people in the water because we were early and they were jumping off ropes hanging from the trees into the water. Very inviting and refreshing - a lovely fruit morning tea to greet us when we got out. Then off to Naiwe Beach to see the turtles/iguanas and a beautifully prepared lunch by the locals looking out over the water and the 80 year old turtles. We had the opportunity to swim and interract with the turtles and it was wonderful.
A last stop of the day was to a small local village and some welcome dances/interesting demonstrations of the villagers way of life.
Back to the ship in plenty of time - Swimming shoes would be handy for this day
