The guide will lead you to St. Peters Basilica, the symbol of the Vatican City, an enclave of Rome.

The Basilica is the largest religious building ever built and it remains one of the holiest sites in Christendom.

The tour covers the most important masterpieces in the museum. Our legally licensed English speaking tour guide will lead you through the rooms and courtyards leading to the Sistine Chapel.

You will visit Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, Gallery of Tapestries, Gallery of Maps, Sobieski Room, Immaculate Conception Room and much more ...

After the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel the tour will walk through St. Peters Basilica, the worlds most famous church.

St. Peters Basilica stands on the traditional site where Peter - the apostle who is considered the first pope - was crucified and buried. St. Peters tomb is under the main altar. Many other popes are buried in the Basilica as well.

Originally founded by Constantine in 324, St. Peters Basilica was rebuilt during 16th century by Renaissance masters including Bramante, Michelangelo and Bernini.

At the end of the tour, visitors are free to explore the Basilica on their own, but they cannot return to the Museums.
