Bid your host farewell and sit back and relax as you enjoy your scenic ride out of the city, arriving in Venice approximately 3.5 hours later.

On arrival in Venice, be greeted by another tour host who will help you find your way from to the Venetian lagoon and arm you with complimentary maps and suggested itineraries, before leaving you to explore Venice independently.

Wander through the labyrinthine web of Venetian calli (narrow streets), campo (squares), canals and bridges. Perhaps stroll along the waterfront promenade of Riva degli Schiavoni, passing many restaurants and shops, as well as the famous Bridge of Sighs that connects the Gothic Doges Palace one of Venices premier attractions to Prigioni Nuove (New Prison).

  • An unforgettable experience. Train ride was pleasant and our tour guide Antonella was wonderful. I️ would take this tour in a heart beat.

  • The high speed train was good. The guide was very difficult to hear. It would have been nice to be provided with some breakfast as we had to leave so early and our hotel breakfast was not available. Venice coffee shops very expensive.

  • This was a good way to work Venice into our Rome vacation. I have read so much about Venice, it was fun to see. The gondola ride is a must for a Venice trip. The guide was very good, and pretty good about making sure that the group was together. We were not aware that shoulders and knees covered was a requirement for the basilica, and after enduring a very hot day at the Vatican the day before, my wife wore a sleeveless blouse. It was much cooler in Venice than Rome, so check the weather forecast, and dress appropriately. Also some brought a backpack, and they had to be checked before entering the basilica.

  • This tour went like clock work, our group was small and English speaking. The tour guide made us feel like family

  • The tour is exactly as stated. The guides get you to the train station and to St. Marks. They also offer a gondola ride at an extra cost. Venice was fantastic, directions the guides gave us for things not so much. We enjoyed exploring in the time that we had and look forward to going back.

  • This was not my favorite trip. It seems we were dumped on San Marcos with tons of tourists. You can do a gondola ride for extra , but it's mostly a sea of tourists. I would suggest studying up on how to get to the other islands. I'm told it's quite charming when you get away from San Marcos.

  • The train ride is lengthy, but the splendor of Venice was well worth it!

  • Venice was beautiful, tour guide was worthless! No communication, did not get skip the line tickets, she was rude and condescending but expected tips from everyone. Love Viator but will never book a tour that uses Gray Line Rome I Love Rome as the tour operator.

  • We really enjoyed this tour. Venice is a unique city. I regret not staying an overnight, because there is just too much to see and do in the few hours allotted. The train ride to and from was comfortable. We were able to bring food and eat on the train, and there was food available for purchase on the train. I did want to visit the Murano factory store in town for a demonstration of glass making, but each local establishment that we visited did not seem to understand what we were saying, so knowing this, next time, I would ask the guide to accompany me to this site. There was no time to visit the island of Murano, but the store where they have glass blowing exhibitions was within walking distance.
