Excellent tour. Our guide Herve was extremely informative and passionate about Versailles and Marie Antoinette. His knowledge of French history was amazing. His kindness and concern about the people who were on the tour was heart warming. We were blessed to have him as our guide, 8 wonderful hours of informative history!

I cannot say enough good things about this tour. If you are lucky enough to get Herve for your tour guide you will be amazed at his knowledge. The palace was overwhelmingly crowded, but Herve made the best of it and kept us moving and was still able to share his knowledge in each of the rooms.

Our guide was Raphael. She was great! So funny and informative. We got some good historical context to the whole layout and story of Versailles. I'm glad we did the whole day option which included Marie Antoinette's hamlet. It was such an interesting contrast. Our day ended inside the gardens, which we could have stayed in longer, it's so large, but we were too tired. The palace was of course cram packed, but that was to be expected. Overall we enjoyed our day!

We knew Versailles would be impressive but we were blown away by it's real size and beauty. It is a must see. Our guide had access to areas we would never have been able to see on our own. She was a font of knowledge and answered everyone's questions. She was also very considerate of the needs of each person in our group.
