  • First of all, my son absolutely LOVED his flight and the experience. Sky Combat Ace was great to work with and provided a great opportunity. In the end, everything worked out better than expected!

But, there were a few issues with our reservation which I believe were caused by Viator:
    1. Our tour time was changed from 1 pm to 11 am by Viator. The timing actually worked out better for us, but be aware that this can happen.
    2. Our tour ticket stated that our son needed to be dropped off at 1 of 2 hotels in the San Diego, We took him to the Hyatt at Mission Bay. We waited for the pickup, but no one arrived. I called Sky Combat Ace who provided the flight and they stated that they NEVER picked up from a hotel in San Diego and we needed to take him directly to Gillespe Field. We are not sure why this mix-up happened?! We ended up taking him directly to the airfield and were able to take pictures, video take-off and see him land. So again, things worked out better than planned, but the mix-up made us uneasy. We were later than our scheduled 11 am departure due to the mix-up, but thankfully the pilot was ok with the timing.
    3. The experience was not a 3 hour tour, the entire process was less than 1 hour. Again, this was better for us, but for people expecting 3 hours of entertainment, it wasn't even close to that!

So, Sky Combat Ace was absolutely outstanding, but Viator caused us undue stress and confusion.
