Itinerary:

Morning and Afternoon Tour
Set out on your guided bike tour from central Vienna and admire the world-famous Vienna State Opera house and explore within the Ringstraße Boulevard with its impressive historical and government buildings including the Austrian Parliament Building (Parliament) and Rathaus (New City Hall). See the grandeur of Hofburg Palace and bike through its grand public square, the Heldenplatz. Follow your guide past the elegant Burgtheater and ornate St Stephen's Cathedral, the seat of the Archbishop of Vienna. View the Albertina, a palatial art museum Cross the bustling Karlsplatz and see magnificent St Charles' Church (Karlskirche), visit the colorful Hundertwasserhaus building, and bike through the Wiener Prater with its monumental ferris wheel. After riding across the beautiful blue Danube River, pass the architecturally significant Austrian Postal Savings Bank (Postsparkasse) and sprawling Stadtpark with its famous statue of Johann Strauss II before finishing your 6-mile (10-km) bike ride.

Evening Tour
This tour is more about enjoying Vienna's atmosphere rather than ticking attractions off your list. Start your guided bike ride in central Vienna and travel through the streets at a leisurely pace. As the sunset casts a gentle glow on grand old buildings, imagine how Vienna looked more than a century ago when the Habsburgs rode through the city on evening carriage rides. Continue your ride, admiring majestic Viennese monuments illuminated against the twilight sky. Conclude your 6-mile (10-km) bike tour back in central Vienna.

  • Fun and well informed guilde

  • A great way to explore much of Vienna in 1 day, which provides an excellent base to back up visiting sites over an extended period in ensuing days. We got to see a lot of Vienna in 1 day, with an experienced tour guide, who kept detail as succinct as necessary.

  • Excellent, excellent tour. Max gave us a great tour. My wife, son and I really enjoyed it. Vienna might just be the best city in the world for bike riding...as they have well marked bike lanes and the cars are all very courteous. Amazing ride and we saw a lot. There are parks everywhere.

  • Information was very good, but lacked cohesion. Staff was friendly and bikes were in great working condition. We were a large group of 18, and being at the back and having to follow traffic lights, 4 of us got separated and lost from the group. The guide did come back to find us, though seemed annoyed that we got separated. It may be helpful to have an additional guide at the back with such a large group and hectic traffic. Regardless, we enjoyed our experience and meeting others along for the ride. The value was quite good and we would recommend this trip.

  • This tour was amazing!

  • It was awesome. Best way to see Vienna. Our guide, Max, was wonderful with the history and showing us places that we wouldn't have seen if we were on a bus.

  • Our guide, Emmanuel, was excellent. He is an historical scholar with a wealth of information about Vienna. The pacing of the bike ride was very good and the overall experience was positive.

  • This is a fabulous tour and Max is a terrific tour guide. I'd never have the courage to zip around Vienna on a bike unguided. Our guide did a great job of keeping everybody moving without losing any of us. Nice activity level to break from the pattern we were establishing of eating, drinking, and sitting on a bus.

  • Tour was amazing and so easy on a bike. U manage to see so much more when you are out on the bike. The guide was fabulous too

  • This was a fabulous tour. It was offered an easy way to see some of the city and I loved getting around by bicycle. Our guide, Horst, was what made it an A experience. Not only was he pleasant and knowledgeable but he also made it interesting and fun. Instead of just giving us basic historical information like names and dates of events, he told us funny and memorable little stories about each location. He kept the group moving so the tour didn't drag on unnecessarily. He always made sure there was enough time for pictures though so I didn't feel rushed. Horst also told us which cafes were his favorites and even told us stories about each of them. He was kind enough to stay around afterwards so he could write down the names of the cafes and even some of his recommended restaurants near our hotel. His suggestions were all excellent!

The bicycle ride itself was easy enough, even for beginners. The only tricky part was dealing with the cars on the road but Horst was very careful to make sure no one was left behind!
