DAYS 1-4: Hanoi & HALONG BAY
On arrival in Vietnams capital, transfer to your hotel before you sample your first taste of delicious Vietnamese cuisine on the first night. Enjoy an instructive cooking lesson at the Hanoi cooking centre and then learn all about Ho Chi Minh at his former home and mausoleum and visit the infamous Hanoi Hilton prison. Try some of Vietnams unique fresh beer Bia Hoi, at one of Hanois local Bia Hoi establishments. Embark on an unforgettable overnight cruise on World Heritage listed Halong Bay including a seafood feast on board. Return to Hanoi for a street and market tour.
DAYS 5-8: HUE & HOI AN
Fly to the former imperial capital, Hue, and explore the citys historic sites, including the Citadel and the Thien Mu Pagoda. Take a brief walking tour through the streets to see local dishes with the opportunity to sample local delicacies. Drive through spectacular coastal scenery towards Hoi An, and discover the towns many charms on a walking tour. Uncover the local cuisine in a full-day cooking class at Ms Vys Cooking School, before a street food tour the following morning.
DAYS 9-12: SAIGON & MEKONG DELTA
Fly to Saigon, Vietnams largest city and home to a myriad of culinary opportunities. Learn to cook some South Vietnamese specialties at a half-day cooking school and then stroll along historic Dong Khoi Street, the former Rue Catinat, and see the sights of the city including the Reunification Building and the War Remnants Museum. Visit the Chinatown markets and then spend a day cruising in the Mekong Delta and try local produce, straight from the orchard. On your last day, enjoy some free time until your departure transfer.
