When your cruise ship docks at Villefranche port, start with a pickup from the cruise terminal and meet your local guide. Relax aboard your 8-passenger minivan and enjoy a drive along the stunning Mediterranean coast.
Leaving the French Riviera behind, cross the France-Italy border and into the postcard-worthy Italian Riviera. Depending on the day you travel, either visit the lovely coastal town of San Remo (Tuesday and Saturday) or Ventimiglia (Friday).
Stop at a typical outdoor market, and take some time to browse the colorful stalls and soak up the market's energy. Shop for a variety of Italian products such as local cheese, fresh produce, authentic Italian leather goods, clothing and accessories galore.
Follow your market visit with a walking tour of the town to learn about its local history, culture and architecture.
Then, sit back and relax on the coastal drive back to France, this time passing through beautiful Menton, a town known as 'the Pearl of France' and famous for its annual Lemon Festival (Fte du Citron). Enjoy views of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and Monaco before arriving back at the Villefranche port.
