Enjoy a trip to Virginia from Washington DC and go back in time at Mount Vernon.

Spend your afternoon at Mount Vernon George Washingtons plantation home. During your visit you may tour the Mansion, as well a dozen other original structures, see Washingtons Tomb, and walk through the beautiful gardens and restored landscapes. While at Mount Vernon you will have time to eat lunch on your own (not included in tour price).

Next, board the motorcoach and pass by Old Town Alexandria. While in Virginia youll see Christ Church, where famous figures from Americas past such as George Washington and Robert E. Lee attended services. Youll also admire the beautiful 17th- and 18th-century homes that line the quaint streets.

Return to DC around 4pm, take a quick break and board the motor coach (or open-top double decker bus, if the weather permits!) and ride through DC visiting famous sites like the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, and the Marine Corps War Memorial as well as making photo stops at the White House and either the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial or the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial.
