The fabulous Villa Vizcaya in Miami is a National Historic Landmark that provides a window into the elegant Miami of the early 20th century, when Vizcaya was a private estate. Built in Mediterranean Revival and Italian Renaissance styles, Vizcaya was designed to resemble a typical Italian villa and included a dairy, poultry house, mule stable, greenhouse and staff residences. Today, the house, including its expansive gardens, is a museum and major Miami attraction.

Once the private winter residence of industrialist James Deering, Villa Viscaya is now a National Historic Landmark. Admire the villas gorgeous Italian Renaissance and Mediterranean Revival architecture, opulent European dcor, beautiful gardens and lovely setting on Biscayne Bay.
The house was designed to resemble a palatial Italian villa a goal that was most definitely reached. The place is simply spectacular and preserves an interesting collection of European art and furnishings, all purchased by Deering on shopping trips through Europe. The house is surrounded by stunning gardens, including an orchid garden.

Un tesoro escondido a solo 5 minutos del centro de Miami. La casa una maravilla, con una ecléctica arquitectura, un diseño interior muy interesante y un Paisajismo de lujo. Realmente imperdible y da para volver (sin tanto calor).
Transportation was on time clean and the driver gave us great City info going and coming. Vizcaya is incredible and the walking Tour gives great stories of the 1920’s and 30’s. A wonderful experience for all ages!
The upstairs was closed for repairs so there wasn’t much to see inside as beautiful as it was. And in addition to that, the audio could barely be heard. No discount on admission and we got taken w trip advisor: 150.00 for 2. Tickets there are 18 per person. An Uber would have been 12.00. Ripped off
I have lived in South Florida for 25 years but didn’t visit Viscaya until last month, when family (my dad) came to visit. The house and gardens are very cool, very unusual for South Florida. I recommend it.
Poderia tranquilamente passar o dia neste lugar...Tudo é de extremo bom gosto e cuidado. Vale os 22 dólares da entrada.
We took a cab from Dadeland South and spent more than 4 hours at leisure. Though the sun was hot, we enjoyed our stay inside the museum and outside in the garden.Felt the grandeur even hundred years back. A nice place to feel if you have an inclination towards history. The entry ticket is 22$ per person.
We took a Lyft from our downtown hotel and enjoyed our experience at the gardens. Highly recommend; we spent approximately 3 hours at the property.
A very interesting place to visit. The Grayline coach which took us there and back, left from another hotel which was very close by. It was slightly annoying that, after having crossed across a busy road, the coach stopped on the other side so we had to cross over again. It did not really affect our enjoyment, but other sightseeing tours were bundled up with ours. Also the time allowed at the venue was in the end only 2 hours, so that we had to rush.
