Jose is an experienced guide who shared his love for the city. His English is good although he speaks many languages. The tour was 3.5 hours but he was happy to spend more time if we wished. Unfortunately, we had to cut it short from a visit by Montezuma! :-0

We had such an amazing tour with Roberto! He was right on time and immediately learned our names. We were visiting Antigua from Chicago and brought our children, ages 10 and 7. Roberto had very clear English, and you could tell that he was genuinely excited to share his city with us. He was really engaging with the kids too. Over 3 hours, we explored every inch of Antigua! Churches, ruins, museums, history, photo spots, coffee stop, jade, chocolate... we seriously saw it all! I love learning little details about places we visit, and he was full of interesting information that you would never know if walking the city by yourself. I highly recommend a private tour! It was the highlight of our stay!

Erwin was fantastic! Great tour of the city and also found our best ice cream place yet. Showed us to a very good local lunch place afterwards.

Erwin was a fabulous tour guide - he took his time providing an overview of the city and then explaining much of the history of Antigua, Guatemala and Central America. We spent four full hours walking the streets of Antigua & visiting many of the significant cultural & historic buildings. Erwin is very personable and friendly, as well as extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend him and wish I had done the tour at the beginning of my stay in Antigua. I was already planning to come back but he has inspired me further to visit this incredible country again soon. I really appreciated his patience in providing the tour in Spanish at my request as I was here studying Spanish, but making sure I understood what he was saying. Muchas gracias, Erwin!

Our guide was very friendly and accommodating. He was willing to adjust the tour to our level of Spanish, and switch to English when necessary.

The guide arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. The sights explained gave richness to the city. Some of the sights mention in the itinerary have been closed but others were included that more than made up for the closures.

Our walking tour with Erwin was a major highlight of our time in Antigua. Not only did he go above and beyond with the knowledge he shared, but it was a very interactive experience with how excited he was anytime myself or another in our group had a question. He beamed with joy when sharing the history of his country, and had an unbiased, fact based lesson for every piece of knowledge shared. I would highly recommend Erwin for a tour. He’s eager to teach, and seems to have a way of customizing the tour for you.

This was a great tour! Erwin was very informative, engaging, and accommodating. From the moment we started the tour, we could tell Erwin is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Guatemalan history and culture, and passionate to share his knowledge with others. This was the last of several tours we went on in Guatemala, and by far the most educational. I recommend you book this tour towards the beginning of your stay in Antigua, as you will gain a basic idea of important landmarks in the city, places to visit, shop, and eat throughout your stay, and you will even learn a basic understanding of the city’s layout and be able to navigate it and orient yourself much more easily as you explore on your own. The tour description says it lasts two hours, but I recommend you allow yourself more than that (maybe 3-3.5 hours) so you can really soak up all the info and allow yourself time to ask questions. Erwin is very flexible and we got the feeling he wouldn’t let us go with unanswered questions :). We only hope we had more time, as we needed to rush the tour to an end due to time constraints with our schedule.

Erwin was so knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about what he does. My friends and I had a great time walking around Antigua with him, learning about the history, checking out some great food and coffee spots, and exploring the architecture. It was a great experience. He will cater the day to whatever you want to do and know about. Very personal. Definitely recommend!

Erwin was very knowledgeable and adapted the tour to the topics that interested us the most with a sense of humor and listening. Thank you for a wonderful day in Antigua.
