Leaving the Colosseum, follow your guide to the archaeologicalarea of the Roman Forum. Walk along Via Sacra, the main street of Ancient Rome, and reach the heart the Forum, where the empire's main religious and political buildings once stood and sometimes still stand. See the Temple of the Vestal Virgins it is here that the Roman priestesses tended the eternal flame of Rome and the Roman Senate where decisions were taken that changed the course of history; admire the triumphal Arch of Septimius Severus, the Arch of Titus, and the Arch of Constantine, named for the emperor who, by defeating his archrival, Maxentius, set the groundwork for the decline of the pagan world and the rise of Christianity. Then explore Palatine Hill, the most ancient part of Rome, where you'll hear about Romulus and Remus, the twin founders of this historical city. From here you will enjoy one of the most spectacularviews of Rome ever.

After hours of intense history and sightseeing, your tour concludes back in the Roman Forum where you will be free to stay as long as you want.

  • Ended up not doing this tour because from the schedule we received we thought the Colosseum was first, but the Roman Forum was (which we were skipping because member couldn't walk that much). Guide tried to accommodate meeting us for 2nd half but we would have had to wait around 2 hours.

  • Amazing tour would definitely recommend!!!!
English speaking guide Cecilia who was really informative and very attentive to the incredible History we were witnessing.
    A Must Do in Rome!!!

  • Cannot recommend this tour enough. We went on an early tour 8.30 which was ideal the place was cooler and wasn't too busy. Our guide was fab he really bought ancient Rome to life you could easily transport yourself. I totally recommend the whole tour of the Colosseum the under ground part was the highlight for me. The only down side was we couldn't go on the arena floor as they were setting up a concert for Andrea Bocelli. But totally loved it!!

  • The audio system was terrible. Can't hear the tour guide. Underground was a brief visit. Plan time after tour to see the place better and to take pictures. Definitely i would of chose the self audio tour next time.

  • Our tour guide was great! We were lucky to be in a small group of about 12 people. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The worst part of the tour was the tour guide assigned to us by the Colosseum not part of this tour company, but works for the Colosseum. She seemed put out to have to take us around.

  • This tour was wonderful. I have done a tour of the middle levels before but this tour was far more interesting. the guides were very informative and personable. We toured all levels including the underground as well as the Roman forums. Very comprehensive and well paced

  • Fantastic! Our guide was very knowledgeable and interested in making sure we had a great time.

  • This was an amazing tour. Our small group of 8 saw and walked everything!!! We went from the underground to the top tier the 5th tier. Our guide was outstanding. She made the history of the Colosseum come alive. The views from the Forum and Pallatine Hill were incredible. Wear comfortable shoes... it is a lot of steps! A Highlight of our trip!!!
