Great way to start our week in Iceland. Spent a delightful 2 1/2 hours with our guide Luca. He really gave a great introduction to Reykjavik and also to Iceland in general. We especially liked the Einar Jonsson sculptor garden. Excellent suggestion for dining as well.

Very appreciative to have had Luca as our tour guide. His historical knowledge, stories, and insights enriched our experience in Reykjavik and brought the city and its treasures to life for us. I highly recommend this tour.

The best part of the tour was the variety of locations, neighborhoods, city center, historic sights, folklore, etc. Luca brought the past and present spirit of Reykjavik into an affective experience. The weather was cold and very windy, but the tour was definitely worth it.

This tour was delivered by Luca, a native of Italy who had lived in Iceland for (I think) 20 years and who delivered the tour in perfect English. Luca, sent us a message the night before and replied to my queries very promptly. The tour provided a nice balance of historical information and an insight into modern Iceland and Reykjavik. Luca was very knowledgeable and engaging and was a great guide to lead us around the city for around 3 hours. I couldn't recommend this walking tour enough and would advise that you book it early in your visit to give you a background to the city before exploring on your own.

Book this tour! We met with Luca on the day of our arrival. He was prompt and sent us a text of the meeting place before the time of the tour. It was an intimate tour which included another couple. Luca was friendly and engaging and a wealth of knowledge. We learned about Iceland’s history right away. Luca pointed out the different buildings and taught us about the material of the buildings/ houses. We visited many monuments and important areas of Reykjavík. We made a small pit stop in front of the river and Luca shared local Icelandic treats with us: salted/dried fish, a taste of Brennivin, and chocolate!! We walked all of Reykjavík and it was great because days later, we found our way around easier. Luca even went above and beyond and sent us a text of places to eat and drink a few hours after the tour AND let us know that the Northern lights were out.

Luca was a great guide and his knowledge of the city really came through. We walked mostly around the old part of Reykjavik for about 3 hours. Luca knew a great deal of Reykjavik history and kept us informed and entertained as we walked. It was just the right amount of walking, stopping and learning along with a brief rest/snack break. Very informative and interesting.
