  Exactly as advertised. The crew was super friendly and very professional. Even with different age groups, older and young our guides made sure we all got to swim with whale sharks. definitely an awesome tour

  Unfortunately, we hit the end of whale shark season and missed them, but we sailed around until we saw blue footed. Booby birds, a blue whale and her calf, swim with the sea lions, and in general, had a great time! The crew was exceptional, and the food was delicious. Thank you so much for such a great time!

  What an incredible Day! Seeing the Whale Sharks was amazing and I feel lucky to have gotten to share such a special experience with my family. The crew with Baja Charters was simply the best. They took the time to make sure that everyone in our party was able to see the Whale Shark up close, even if they weren't the strongest swimmers on their own. The whole day was great as well. The Catamaran is a First Class experience out on the water. Jenny's food and drinks were as fabulous. I mean where else will you get served Rib Eye out on the water! Her Mojitos were perfect, and I have trouble deciding whether the Original Rocks, Blended Strawberry or Mango was the best. This is really the way to experience La Paz on the water in a small group.

  We had a wonderful time with Baja Charters. We were able to book on the re-opening day, and were not disappointed. The waves and wind were tough to work through, but our guides and captains did their absolute best to get us on whale sharks and within good swimming distance. Our group of 10 was able to do a few jumps and successfully saw them up close! Lina, Eric, Gabriel, Lorenzo were amazing crew! Thank you!

  We booked a trip with Baja Charters to swim with the Whale Sharks. They seemed like one of the better through more expensive organization providing the experience. While they correctly tell you that finding these whale sharks is not a guarantee and that they have 100% success finding them " PROVIDING the port was open and government regulations did not prevent access to the whale shark feeding zone. Without notice, regulators close the whale shark park from time to time." What they do NOT tell you is that they keep selling tickets when they know perfectly well that the reserve is closed. We booked a trip in March 2023 and were sorry to hear only after we boarded that unfortunately the reserve was closed. They tell you that they will do their best to find whale sharks outside the reserve but you quickly figure out that this is impossible and that they go straight out to some cool beach to do some snorkeling. Later in the day we figured out that the reserve had been closed for over 20 days and that they have not seen a whale shark since. Completely dishonest!!! They keep advertising swimming with whale sharks knowing perfectly week that this will not happen. This is sad as the crew, food and snorkeling were very nice. Just not what we signed up and paid extra for. I am sure the experience of swimming with sharks is fantastic BUT do not waste your money and make sure the reserve has been open in the days before you make the trip.

  Terry’s crew today was fantastic. Chewy, Maria, Mario, & Eddie were very professional and friendly. Safety was tops!! Food was delicious and of course the whale sharks were so beautiful plus we got to swim with a pod of dolphins together with them. Had very big swells but the boat team managed the environment well!!

  Loved our experience even though the park to swim with Whale Sharks was closed during our visit due to weather. The crew located a large group of dolphins, we saw many Blue Footed Boobies and we swam and played with Sea Lions. The food was delicious and they even had a birthday cake for me! The crew was wonderful! We will be coming back.

  Total waste of money! We were told that the protected area was closed so we couldn’t go there to see whale sharks but they would sail around looking for them. The only thing the boat did was go to the area to swim with sea lions. There were only 8 people allowed to goat onetime so they divided us up in to 2 groups. One group had to wait while one group was in the water. If there are that many people there should be 2 guides so everyone could go at the same time. We were also told we’d go to Lovers Beach, never saw it. After the dive,we went back to the boat and just sat on it for 4 hours. Not worth the money we spent, and there were 8 of us!

  This was a bucket-list activity for me, snorkeling with whale sharks. I had been looking forward to this for weeks. Unfortunately we were notified the day before our tour that the protected whale shark area was closed. We were told we would have an extended tour to make up for this. We were not given the option of canceling and getting a refund. We spent a total of 6 hours in a shuttle to spend 30 minutes in the water with sea lions and 30 minutes in the town of Todos Santos. What an incredibly disappointing day. From the website: "When this happens, and it does from time to time without prior notice, we automatically provide a modified activity as follows: We cruise approximately an hour further north beyond the controlled whale shark area to search for whale sharks. This adds time to the excursion, the costs of which we cover. We also include visits to two or three remote beaches, bays, and coves where, weather permitting, we put out kayaks, and other non-motorized water toys. These are not legal inside the whale shark feeding zone but are legal outside that specific area. Also included is swimming with tropical fish over corals and a visit to the sea lion colony of San Rafaelito, along with an onboard chef, meals, beverages, an open bar, private bathrooms and showers, towels, snorkel equipment, a separate snorkel boat with guide, and reef-friendly sunscreen. We will provide our best efforts to deliver a high-quality experience, regardless of whether we are able to locate whale sharks." We did NOT cruise further north to look for whale sharks. We did NOT visit 2-3 remote beaches, coves, bays. We anchored in ONE spot in order to take a smaller boat out to the sea lions. We were split into two groups to see the sea lions so if it was not your turn then you spent time on the boat or in kayaks to explore ONE beach. Once back on the shuttle we did stop in Todos Santos for 30 minutes to explore the town. If I would have known we would leave our resort ALL day for a brief snorkel with sea lions and a visit to Todos Santos I would have NEVER booked this. The money we spent on this does not begin to cover the experience. I am a travel agent and I will make sure my clients know exactly what they might end up with as an excursion. Having said all that, I will say the crew was great. The shuttle driver was friendly and professional, the guide was knowledgable about sea lions and the food/drinks were great. Still, not enough to make up for the immense disappointment.

  Baja Charters provided an excellent tour that went above and beyond what other operators were advertising. You certainly get what you pay for and I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again. Our whale shark tour was cancelled due to the park being closed but the alternative tour provided was very enjoyable. The spacious size of the catamaran, all the food and beverages provided and the professionalism of all the staff were exceptional. Think twice about booking with a low cost operator who charges 100 bucks and choose to go with Baja Charters. You won't regret it.
