We had an amazing time whale watching with Captain Andrew. He shared a lot of knowledge about whales and specifically about the whales around Victoria. We saw 20+ humpback whales and when he heard another boat had 3 orca’s in site, he turned around and took us to see them as well. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary which I mentioned to Raine at the office. When our boat came back to the dock she was waiting with a beautiful orca card wishing us a happy anniversary! Very personal, friendly & professional.

We are Victoria locals who bid on a voucher to go whale watching with Five Star Whale Watching at an auction. We didnt really expect much as the whales are typically quiet in October but wow were we ever spoiled. Humpbacks and Orcas were all spotted and our Naturalist, Alexa, was so knowledgeable and answered every question we had for her. Captain Andrew was also great. From the booking to the cruise everything was seamless and fantastic. I will be recommending Five Star to anyone visiting.

A very comfortable journey enhanced by passionate and informative guides. On our trip we saw a few humpbacks in action though no Orcas. Such is the nature of whale watching. The crew stayed out a bit longer than the planned duration which was commendable.

Our party of four was very pleased with our whale watching tour. Our guide provided a great deal of knowledge of the wildlife we saw throughout the entire tour. We were able to see seals, sea lions and humpback whales. We were even able to identify one of the whales that we saw from his/her tail markings. That was exciting!

Our guide was so knowledgeable and interesting. He made sure our questions were answered. He was amusing and told funny stories.

Great trip in a good , stable boat. We got to see Orcas and Hump Back Whales plus sea lions etc. The driver guide was very knowledgeable and had a genuine interest and affection for the animals and their environment. I thoroughly recommend this trip but as stated in other reviews, make sure you take warm clothes as it gets pretty chilly !

Very nice trip on a smaller tour boat. We saw orcas, humpback, sea lions, seals, & porpoises. Dress warmly even in the hottest day in summer (layers work best so you can add a layer as needed).

Very knowledgeable about the area and history…we did see some humpbacks from a distance, they are massive so neat to see…we also so California and elephant seals - nice to see them in their own habitats and not stuck in a zoo - friendly host. We did a sunset tour..very beautiful… Remember to bring light winter coat, hat possible gloves as it does get very cold…they have a few winter coats but that’s it…

Great crew full of knowledge. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Very smooth boat ride and the information was interesting. Very friendly staff who interacted well with everyone.

I chose this particular cruise for the naturalists aboard and their mission of safe and responsible whale watching. And for those things, they did not disappoint! The crew was warm, funny, and knowledgeable, and answered any question tossed their way. We did get to see some humpback whales (the orcas stayed away) and tons of loud, hilarious sea lions, seals, and an elephant seal. And due to the size of the craft, we had an intimate voyage of less than 40 people and could move about (inside and out) freely. My only complaint is that watching from the deck was very difficult at times because of the intense diesel fumes coming from the boat itself. I had to go inside to escape them, which was not where i wanted to be.
