Know More about this tour

Departing from Port Welshpool at 9.30 am, your captain and crew will welcome you aboard the comfortable 62-foot (19-meter) motorized catamaran. Indoor and outdoor decks with ample seating provide excellent views as your boat sails over to Wilsons Promontory National Park, affectionately known as The Prom.

Situated on the southernmost point of mainland Australia, Wilsons Promontory encompasses a vast nature reserve laced with swimming and surfing beaches along Bass Strait. The park harbors abundant native wildlife including kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, emus and colorful birds like rosellas and parrots, while dolphins, seals and whales are often spotted offshore.

Throughout the day, your captain shares informative and entertaining commentary. Cruise close to Skull Rock and remote granite islands like Glennie Island, a nature reserve and important breeding ground for short-tailed shearwaters and little penguins. Youll also check out Kanowna Island seal sanctuary, which hosts one of only four breeding colonies of Australian fur seals. It is also an important site for breeding seabirds.

As you approach Wilsons Promontory, its historic 1859 lighthouse comes into view, perched on the southernmost point of Australia's mainland. Enjoy close views of the lighthouse, which by land can only be reached on foot by walking 11 miles (18 km).

Enjoy a 2-hour stop in Refuge Cove where you can fuel up with a delicious buffet lunch prepared by your crew, and swim, snorkel or stroll along the sparkling white-sand beach. With morning and afternoon tea, plus light nibbles served at sunset, you won't go hungry.

At the end of a memorable 9-hour cruise, your captain returns you to Phillip island.

A bus pick up is available to be booked directly through wildlife coast cruise at an additional cost of $25 per person.

My family of 5 including 3 teenagers absolutely loved the Wilsons Prom Full Day Cruise. The scenery was exceptional. The seals amazing. The beach at Refuge Cove was an absolute gem. Over and above that what sets this cruise apart from others is the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Very professionally run. I highly recommend this cruise.

We were really surprised at how amazing this cruise was and how accommodating the tour guides were. The scenery that they took us through were marvelous and gave us a great insight on every one of the bay's attractions. The tour guides were easy going so we felt comfortable asking any questions, and they were extremely knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. I don't travel well on boats so the fact that they gave out free motion sickness tablets and explained the pros and cons on each location of the seats on the boat. All in all, a wonderful experience that is entertaining for all ages.

My husband and thoroughly enjoyed the 9+ hour cruise of stunning Wilson's Promontory. The crew were friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the Prom and it's surrounding area. Captain Michael was great and his knowledge of the history of this area was immense. We were looked after with ample refreshments including tea, coffee and biscuits. Lunch and morning & afternoon tea were included in our ticket. Everything was delicious. I hadn't really explored this part of Victoria before and I was impressed by its beauty.

I couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough, it was spectacular, the colour of the water, rocks, sand and sky changed constantly and was just amazing. The seals were cheeky, as were the lovely staff. The swim was wonderful on such a hot day. I have always loved Wilsons Promontory but seeing it from the water was truly mind blowing. Thank you guys regards Bree.

We did the Wilsons Prom Full Day cruise. Well worth the price to spend a whole day (9 hours) with these guys. Michael the skipper was chock full of local knowledge (history, wildlife, etc) and Hayley and Chris were great crew. They were all so easy to talk to and interact with. Skull cave, the seals and Refuge cove (own time to walk and swim) were the highlights. The food was endless and of great quality. Really enjoyed our day!
