Bike around the lush grounds, or simply laze down a river in an inner tube. Satisfy hunger pangs with the flash of your wristband for all-you-can-eat burgers, seafood, Mayan cuisine and more. Know More about this tour

After morning hotel pickup in Cancun, travel south and arrive 90 minutes later at Xel-H, located on an inlet along the Riviera Maya. Your all-inclusive admission ticket gives you plenty of opportunities to get to know this beautiful natural aquarium.

Your itinerary is up to you, but definitely pocket a map after entering Xel-H, filled with a lagoon, cenotes and creeks formed by the underground rivers flowing out to the Caribbean. To preserve the parks ecology, please note that only biodegradable sunscreen is permitted (available for purchase on-site).

You might begin your day at the lagoon, where you can place your belongings in nearby lockers (locker use included), and pick up snorkeling gear and towels (rental provided but deposit required). As you swim in the glittering lagoon, explore its edges for optimal views of a variety of angelfish and rays.

In the mood for a stroll? Wander the maze of paved trails through Xel-H's lush jungle, and along the way, catch glimpses of tropical birds, iguanas and other wildlife. Come upon a floating bridge, cenotes, caves and a hidden beach. When you need a break, plant yourself on a lounge chair and admire views of the lush forest.

Pick up the pace again and ride the tram, bicycle or walk to the top of the river, and climb aboard an inner tube. Float past mangroves, down the river, and if you seek thrills, theres a spot where you can leap off a cliff into the water below.

When its time for snacks or lunch, head over to one of the parks five restaurants. Whether you want to chow down buffet-style or prefer a sit-down meal, your all-inclusive entry gives you flexibility, as much food as you'd like, as well as bottomless beverages, alcoholic and nonalcoholic alike.

At the end of your satisfying day exploring the waters and jungle of Xel-H, youll be taken back to your Cancun hotel.

Well organized Tour Company. The place itself- XEL HA- was excellent. Nature at its best. All the activities were well organized.

Nice place. Getting there was a hassle after being moved from bus to bus. Then once we get there we were called out for not paying for the Tulum ruins and dropped off early. Food was ok, drinks were ok. Overall not bad, just better customer service.

The trip to Xel-Ha was long 1.5hrs on a bus full of people (no bathrooms). On the bus we we told or at least understood that everything was included except for the dolphin encounter, but turns out half of the activities cost additional money. We paid for the photo experience which we felt was worth it and they gave us discounts on the dolphin experience and the bike zip-line. It is Mexico so you can negotiate the cost. All of the paid experiences were super fun. We found out after the dolphin experience that our photo package did not include the dolphin photos. We were able to negotiate those costs and that is the only way to get photos of that experience as cameras of any kind are not allowed. The food was also great for buffets in Mexico. Our family would definitely do this again but I wish I had a better idea of what everything was going to cost up front. The dolphin experience cost us $50 per person, $40 per person for the bike zipe-line, and $150 for the photo package which is based on the number of people not the number of photos. The dolphin photo package ranged from $238 to $350 but we paid $150 for the smallest package. All animal experiences cost additional money but the snorkeling, water slides, lazy river, cenotes, cliff jumping, and ropes courses are free and I am sure I am missing things. Good luck and enjoy!

Definitely not the cheapest place to go with a family. In terms of value for money it wasn't quite there when I compare similar things we've done as a family in other places/countries and you have to pay more for extras to get full experience but I'm very happy with did this and had a great time. The park itself is amazing and I highly recommend you do a full tour of the park and not just stay to a designated area

Amazing relaxing tour and lots of fun activities, don't forget to visit lighthouse.

  • 17-Nov-2017

Xel-ha was fun but the trip down there and back was aweful.

A pretty good park. It is like a huge jungle around a lake. The lockers and towels are free to use. There are a few different restaurants, all buffet style, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks all included. The activities included snorkeling, cliff jumping, tubing, zip-lining, a really tall water slide shaped like a lighthouse, and some caves/cenotes to check out. The shuttle picked us up from our hotel at 7:30am, arrived at the park around 9:30am, and took us back to the hotel at 6pm.

There are a ton of other activities that can be scheduled but cost extra pretty expensive. These include walking with dolphins, swimming with dolphins, stingray encounters, swimming with manatees, zip-biking, riding a speedboat, etc. I didn't book any of these extras.

Tip: USE BUG SPRAY. I got a ton of mosquito bites from this park, so many that it looks like I have the chickenpox.

This was an amazing trip to take, there is a lot to fit into one day but we managed to spend time snorkelling in the huge lagoon where we saw lots of different varieties of fish. Our daughter then did the dolphin experience, which was magical, and a must for anyone who hasn't done this before. Be warned though, the photo packages for the dolphins are very good, but also very expensive so make sure you take extra money if you want these. We then went on the Adrenalina speedboat which was absolutely wild, great fun, and a must for all thrill seekers, The day was rounded off with a relaxing float down the lazy river where we passed cliff jumping and zip lines. Lockers, showers and towels are all provided and the food and drink is plentiful and pretty good. Overall this trip was excellent value for money.
