Know More about this tour

Throughout your day you will visit five venues including brew pubs, tasting rooms and beer gardens who will serve up a range of gin, fruit wines, beer, cifers and kombuchas. The itinerary for each tour is chosen to minimize travel time and maximize customer enjoyment and is unique for each tour. This style of flexible, relaxed touring ensures you are not bound by strict time limitations at each venue and can enjoy an ad-hoc tasting of beers out of the bright tanks; join a cider maker for a taste of their new secret creation or get involved in a gin tasting on the distillery tour with a special guest distiller.

Stops may include:

Napoleone Brewery and Ciderhouse: part of Punt Road Wines. Drawing on their winemaking background, these beer and cider-makers produce high-quality ciders using fruit grown on their estate and craft small-batch beers.

St Ronan’s Cider: where you sample a variety of ciders made from apples and pears, as well as berry wines, sparkling wines and ports. Their ciders come in regular draft-style as well as methode traditionelle (a French method for making Champagne).

Buckley's Beer: The oldest brewery in the Yarra Valley: Hear about the craftsmanship, top-notch ingredients and solar energy that goes into creating Buckley’s great beers before enjoying a tasting.

Hargreaves Hill: for a tasting paddle and lunch. After sampling several options, pick the beer that you like best, then enjoy a complimentary glass of their beer or cider to go with your meal.

Coldstream Brewery: for a tasting paddle and snack. A brewpub that supplements its roster of beers with seasonal specialties and locally produced ciders.

Riders Beer Co: a family owned and run winery from the Kelly Brothers of Kellybrook winery and Kellybrothers cider fame.

The Public Brewery: combining their own brews and great food, you can enjoy some of the worlds best beers.

Four Pillars Gin Distillery: for a gin tasting at this award winning state of the art distillery.

Throughout the day, your expert guide shares informative and entertaining commentary. After a fun-filled day of food and drink, you are returned to your starting point in the late afternoon to end your tour.

  • Thought this might be a little different from the wine tours and I was not disappointed everything from the morning safety briefing to tasting and learning the facts about beer and cider was funny, amazing and the tasting samples were not just a couple of mouth fulls but nearly half a glass. Kick off the morning driving from Federation Square out to the first stop for the day our guide, Paul, was sharing fun facts and making everyone feel welcome in the group. Lunch was amazing where the tasting continued. Would recommend this for anyone that wants to do something different and have a bit of fun.

  • Great day out - expensive initially but you get what you pay for - great food and selection of ciders - even got to have wine with lunch.

  • Excellent tour - great value for money and I really enjoyed it!! The guide was very good, lots of beer to taste and nice lunch

  • Great fun, fantastic guide plenty of coder and beer tasters. Lunch was great

  • This was a fun tour! Scott did a great job of getting all of us to learn a little bit about on another. We had a small group of 7 or 8 and ended up having a wonderful day. Scott had a lot of information to share about Yarra Valley, each of the breweries we visited and the liquor industry in general. His witty comments and humorous stories made for a relaxing and enjoyable tour. We don't see much cider in the United States so we were surprised at how many cider samples were provided at each of the breweries. However the tasting paddles had 6-8 sizable samples so we had plenty of beer, too. The gin distillery was fun, too, and they gave us four generous samples. Fun day!!

  • This was one of the highlights from my trip in August 2015. We were a small group and it was so much fun. Great guide, awesome food, and I found beer I like! Although I am still more of a cider lover!

  • The whole trip was very well managed and we had a comprehensive tour of welcoming breweries.

  • Good fun to a variety of locations. Guide Scott was very knowledgable and good fun. Recommend this tour.

  • Great day out in the Yarra Valley, I highly recommend this tour.

  • All places we visited were great, cold beer and cider on a hot Melbourne day was fantastic. Scott was a good host, very informative and some funny stories to tell as well. We would highly recommend doing this tour, well worth the money.
