Know More about this tour

Your journey begins with a convenient pickup at your hotel. You'll cross the San Francisco Bay Bridge en route to the Sierra Nevada mountain range, driving through gold rush towns as your guide carries you back to the era of the old West.

In the late morning, enter Yosemite National Park where you'll take a guided walk. Visit the Tuolumne Grove (weather permitting) and be amazed by the size of the redwood trees in Yosemite's largest grove. Let the serene surroundings of the forest recharge your energy. Stop at the “Fallen Monarch” and "Grizzly Giant" and walk through the “California Tunnel Tree” to get a close-up look at Mother Nature's wonders.

Continue your journey through Yosemite with a stop at Inspiration Point for a bird’s-eye view of the whole valley. Gaze up at the massive granite formations of Half Dome and El Capitan, watch for rock climbers as they daringly make their way to the summit. In the springtime, marvel at the tallest waterfall in the park, Yosemite Falls.

After, you may explore Yosemite Valley on your own. For lunch, enjoy a picnic next to the Merced River or visit one of the restaurants at Yosemite Lodge (own expense). With an additional 1 – 1.5 hours of free time to spend, you can engage in a variety of activities available within the park. Hike to one of Yosemite's waterfalls and perhaps spot a black bear; rent bikes for a leisurely cycle on the flat bike paths throughout the valley; cool off in lovely river pools in summer; or simply relax at the Valley Visitor Center or peruse the Ansel Adams Gallery — sure to inspire any amateur photographer.
When it's time to head back to San Francisco, sit back and enjoy the scenic ride through the Sierra Nevada and into the sunset.

Please note: The weather in Yosemite is highly variable and includes rain and snow in winter and high temperatures in summer. The itinerary may be adapted to make the most of Yosemite during different seasons and times of the year.

The Giant Sequoias are best visited between May and October. During the rest of the year, snow and ice conditions may prevent access to roads and trails. In this event, other activities may be substituted in its place.

    • The trip to Yosemite National Park was one of the highlights of visiting San Francisco. And you know what made this trip to the national park so special? Roman, the driver and narrator. His special attention to everyone's enjoyment was great, but even more impressive was his generosity in meeting the special needs of his passengers. All of this was done with a full measure of humor and joy for life. He made the joggers from Virginia my wife and I glad we took this trip to one of America's national treasures.

    • What a beautiful p lace. So serene and interesting, nature is all her glory. Plenty to see and do. Nice cafes. some very strenuous walks if you are reasonably fit!

    • Great tour, amazing sites!
Denise was very friendly and knowledgeable, made the ride a very enjoyable and safe one!
We were afraid of the long ride, but the spectacular views kept us busy throughout. Plenty of stops to stretch the legs or buy some snacks.
The hike to the sequoias was not as difficult as advertised, and I am not a fit person.
There is enough time to go down, and back up.
I would only see it a challenge for peope with difficulty walking up the hill although the path is with asphalt.
We made stops in great locations for photos and astonishing views, and lots of time in the park itself to wander around.
We enjoyed the trip very much!
PS: get your seats on the right side of the bus if possible, for the best views on the road! worth it!

    • Just perfect! Very recommend!

    • Excellent day, Gino the driver and tour guide was informative, knowledgeable and witty. He knew all the good stops for photo's and never rushed us.
First stop to see the giant Sequoias trees was only for the fit and healthy as a steep walk back from the trees was challenging. The usual stop of 1 hour should be extended by 30mins to allow time for slower walkers, toilet stop etc.
Yosemite was phenomenal, amazing scenery, plenty of photo stops and 2hrs exploring the valley, waterfalls and a quick lunch.
We stopped at a really good food market on the way and would advise travellers to get their lunch from there to take, as restaurants at Yosemite expensive and all fast food.
A very early start and long day but well worth the time and money

    • Execellent tour, Phill was our guide was very funny and informative. Great scenery and enjoyed the whole day.

    • Most enjoyable day at a great pace. Unfortunately our driver kept harping on about ensuring we left him a 20 minimum tip to the point of explaining where the ATM was and how EFTOS worked in the restaurant. By my maths he would have scored over 1500 cash in tips for the day which is outrages.

    • Do not recommend this tour! Actual does not match description. Very rushed. Terrible tour guide. Late pickup, bus over crowded, breaks way too short for the crowd to have bathroom and find a lunch. Time in parks very limited and rushed.

    • fantastic day to Yosemite. Yosemite National park, el capitan and half dome were amazing sights along with the magical scenery on the drive. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and a great driver. The only thing I would change is the time spent at the giant sequoias, we did not have enough time to get to the sequoia trees without being utterly spent for the rest of the day. The trail guide on site said 2 hours for the very hilly walk and we were given 45 mins! very disappointed as the giant sequoias were a major reason for our visit to Yosemite.

    • The tour driver was great, it covered quite a bit. The travel time was very long and the bus we were on had no shocks! It was the bumpiest tour I have every been on. My ribs and my husbands ribs actually hurt for 2 days!
