Know More about this tour

Your journey begins with a convenient pickup at your hotel. You'll cross the San Francisco Bay Bridge en route to the Sierra Nevada mountain range, driving through gold rush towns as your guide carries you back to the era of the old West.

In the late morning, enter Yosemite National Park where you'll take a guided walk. Visit the Tuolumne Grove (weather permitting) and be amazed by the size of the redwood trees in Yosemite's largest grove. Let the serene surroundings of the forest recharge your energy. Stop at the “Fallen Monarch” and "Grizzly Giant" and walk through the “California Tunnel Tree” to get a close-up look at Mother Nature's wonders.

Continue your journey through Yosemite with a stop at Inspiration Point for a bird’s-eye view of the whole valley. Gaze up at the massive granite formations of Half Dome and El Capitan, watch for rock climbers as they daringly make their way to the summit. In the springtime, marvel at the tallest waterfall in the park, Yosemite Falls.

After, you may explore Yosemite Valley on your own. For lunch, enjoy a picnic next to the Merced River or visit one of the restaurants at Yosemite Lodge (own expense). With an additional 1 – 1.5 hours of free time to spend, you can engage in a variety of activities available within the park. Hike to one of Yosemite's waterfalls and perhaps spot a black bear; rent bikes for a leisurely cycle on the flat bike paths throughout the valley; cool off in lovely river pools in summer; or simply relax at the Valley Visitor Center or peruse the Ansel Adams Gallery — sure to inspire any amateur photographer.
When it's time to head back to San Francisco, sit back and enjoy the scenic ride through the Sierra Nevada and into the sunset.

Please note: The weather in Yosemite is highly variable and includes rain and snow in winter and high temperatures in summer. The itinerary may be adapted to make the most of Yosemite during different seasons and times of the year.

The Giant Sequoias are best visited between May and October. During the rest of the year, snow and ice conditions may prevent access to roads and trails. In this event, other activities may be substituted in its place.

    • The trip could not have been better. Helped to avoid the normal tourist crowds. Gave great info.

    • Travellers who love amazing sights, factual insights, tips, tricks and a fantastic relaxed access to Yosemite - TAKE THIS TOUR!! I cannot recommend it enough - fantabulous!! We were picked up very close to our hotel, the bus that took us was not huge - just the right size, comfortable, great views from windows and even drink holders and I-phone charge points at each seat! Our driver Gino, quite possibly the best tour guide we've ever had, was an excellent driver through the city traffic and very good on the steep windy roads we travelled. He gave us just the right amount of detail about everything we saw, answered all our questions, gave great tips so we could take the best photographs, was very good humoured AND showed us two of the Ice Age movies on the trip home when we were all just a bit tired... This day trip was the best use of our day. My family all loved it - including our 19, 21 year old sons. I happily recommend it to anyone who wants the views without the dramas of driving, navigating, negotiating busy tourist sites at the height of summer vacation time. Loved it! Would do it again! :

    • The trip was awesome! Phil, our tour guide, did a tremendous job of narrating us through Yosemite. He was very knowledgeable and stopped numerous times for photo. My husband and I would highly recommend this trip! A long day, but well worth it! Memories for a lifetime. Trish and John

    • The tour was very well run. Everything went to plan. It is a long day though and because of the distance there are times when you are rushed to see everything. The tour whets your appetite to want to go back and spend some more time.

    • This tour was amazing!

    • Roman is a bit of a star both behind the wheel and on the microphone. Educational and amusing.
A long day but worth the effort.

    • Yosemite was really beautiful but the trip itself was not great. We had Victor as our tour guide and he was terrific, but bus problems caused an extremely long and hot day. We were told to be at the Hilton by 6:15 am, which we were, but we didn't leave the Hilton until 7. At our first stop on the trail, one of the passengers was 25 minutes late so we were backed up again. On the way back to the city, the bus had a failure in the air conditioning and the brakes gave off a horrid smell all the way back. It was a long and uncomfortable ride and they had to call and get two other buses to meet us to take us back to the city. In all, a 15 hour day. I would not do it again.

    • This was an amazing tour to Yosemite National Park. Jacob our driver was very informative, helpful, courteous and we had a fantastic time. It is a long day but we got to know other travellers from various other places and it was great to learn about where they came from. This passed the time quickly. Jacob gave us information about San Francisco, the gold rush, the agricultural industry and of course Yosemite along the way. He offered to take our photos at various vantage points and was generous in giving us enough time at each stop. Yosemite was very busy due to it being a weekend and school holidays so the roads were quite congested. I certainly would recommend this trip and thank Jacob for a wonderful day. Many thanks.

    • This trip offered an amazing experience and set of photo opportunities in just one day. It's an incredibly time-efficient way of visiting Yosemite and was probably the best value experience of my time in California.

Jacob our guide/driver really took the experience to another level with his boundless energy and sincere love and belief for both the park and what it has to offers. I have no idea how someone who had to wake up at 4 am can sustain such a high level of service for the 15 hours our group was together!

    • tour operator was extranomical and driver bruke was very rude and arrogant. He was threatening to leave the passengers if they didn't come back on time. There was no proper air conditioning in the coach and passengers in the back rows had a very uncomfortable ride. driver was in a such a hurry to get back and was driving erratically.
