What to see in 3 days in Barcelona?

Day 1 In Barcelona

Start off your first day in Barcelona by visiting the Ciutadella Park. Wandering in this park would certainly occupy half of your day since it has many features. The park has Barcelona Zoo, museums, and a boating lake. There are paved trails for you to leisurely stroll in the large park.

Later, make a beeline for the Museum of Picasso. Since it is located close to Ciutadella Park, you can reach it on foot in no time. The museum showcases an extensive collection of art created by the renowned artist Pablo Picasso. Exit the museum and head towards Barri Gotic.

This is a vibrant neighborhood in Barcelona, packed with attractions, shops, and restaurants. Have a scrumptious lunch at one of the restaurants here and then go museum hopping in the area. A few of the notable museums that you must visit here include the Museum of History of Barcelona, Museu Frederic Marès, and Maritime Museum. You can end your day on a high note by visiting Plaça de Catalunya. With numerous options for food and drink, this plaza is also home to many shows and events.

Day 2 In Barcelona

Dedicate the first half of your second day to admire Antoni Gaudi's work scattered in all of Barcelona. Opt for a Gaudi tour which will take you to many places that exhibits Gaudi’s architectural skills.

Amongst all, the most prominent work is La Sagrada Familia. This is the most famous attraction in Barcelona. It is an unfinished Catholic church whose construction was started way back in the 1880s. Other architectural wonders that you will be taken to during the tour include Casa Mila, Casa Batllo, Casa Vicens, and Park Güell.

After the tour has a quick lunch and then head towards Barcelona’s pristine beaches. Here you can relax and unwind after a tiring tour.

If you do not wish to go to the beach, you may pay a visit to FC Barcelona Museum and Camp Nou Stadium. This is a must-visit place for all football fans. You can opt for a guided tour of the museum and stadium that are held regularly. Then you can set out to explore some more of the city to soak in its culture.

Day 3 In Barcelona

On your third day in Barcelona, hike to the top of Montjuïc early morning. Reaching the top of the hill, you will be able to see breathtaking views of the entire Barcelona city. While taking in the picturesque vistas, you can also visit the other attractions that are located on the hilltop.

These include Montjuïc Castle, a military museum, and a botanical garden. If you decide to hike up to the top of Montjuïc it will take your entire day. However, you can ride the cable car and save some time to explore more of Barcelona.

With time on your hands, head towards Plaça d'Espanya which is a buzzing hub in the city. With many modernista-style buildings, cafes, shops, and restaurants, this plaza is a favorite amongst locals and tourists alike. One must be in the plaza until night to watch the light and fountain show.
