Day 1 In Berlin

Spend the morning exploring the museums on the Museum Island

Home to 5 important museums of Berlin, the Museum Island is surrounded by the waters of the river Spree. Making it an exclusive place where the internationally acclaimed centers lie, the river flows along it, creating a wonderful island worth visiting in your 2 days in Berlin. Head here in the morning, and make sure you try and visit any 2 museums, with the top ones being Altes Museum, Neues Museum, and Pergamon Museum. While on the island, you can also visit the Berlin Cathedral.

For lunch, head to Ampelmann Restaurant. Serving exquisite delicacies from all over the world, the restaurant has a unique vibe. It is located under the railway arches and overlooks the Museum Island and the waters of Spree.

An artful afternoon

After lunch, make your way to the East Side Gallery. An open-air art gallery, it is the longest section of what remains of the Berlin wall. After it was taken down, artists from all over the world contributed to this canvas, and its surrounding area, to make it every artist’s dream come true! Some additions are made even today, making it one of the largest and oldest gallery of its kind that has survived!

Day 2 In Berlin

Retrace the past in the morning

Start the morning with a little more history about this beautiful city. Head to the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe first. After a tour here, try and complete as many of the following three sites, namely, Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, and Gendarmenmarkt. Each of these will add immensely to the experience of the past that you will be going through.

For lunch, you can either head to Joseph Roth Diele, a casual, small, cozy restaurant, or Amrit Potsdamer Platz Berlin for some flavorsome Indian food, or even Facil, a fine dining restaurant.

Shop at the best shopping avenues all afternoon

After a scrumptious lunch, you can take a stroll at any of the leisure parks that are strewn all across Berlin, and then head to any of the top shopping places for a little indulgence. Kurfürstendamm and Bikini Berlin are some of the topmost shopping malls in the city. For those who are looking for a rustic experience, head to Mauerpark as it hosts the largest flea market!
