6 Days in Busan Vacation Guide

What to see in Busan in 6 days?

Day 1 and 2 In Busan Temple, Aquarium, Park, Market:

Start off your first day in Busan by visiting Haedong Yonggungsa. This is a popular Buddhist temple in Busan located by the seaside. While the temple was first built in 1376, it was rebuilt in 1930 after being destroyed in the Japanese invasion of Korea. Later, head towards the Sea Life Busan Aquarium. This is the best place to visit if you are traveling with kids. The huge aquarium is home to around 35,000 sea creatures that belong to about 250 species. You will be able to see piranha, otters, sea jellies, penguins, and many more. Then have a scrumptious lunch at a fine restaurant in Busan. Taste many authentic South Korean dishes for lunch. With a filled tummy, head towards Haeundae Beach to spend the remaining time of the day. This long sandy stretch is the most favorite beach in Busan and allows you to relax after a hectic day of wandering. On your second day in Busan, make way to the Yongdusan Park early in the morning. Spread over a huge area, this park has multiple features, allowing you to spend almost half of your day here. A few of the notable features include the Busan Tower, Statue of the Great general Yi Sun-sin, Flower clock, Exhibition Hall of World Model Boats, and Museum of World Folk Instruments. You may then have lunch and visit the Busan Modern History Museum. The exhibits here give you an insight into the development of Busan, especially after Japanese colonization. Later, in the day, head towards Gukje Market. From clothes to household products, you can find it all in this market. But, it well-known for the number of food stalls selling a variety of mouth-watering dishes. Wander in the market and relish the deliciousness offered at the food stalls.

Day 3 and 4 In Busan Itinerary:

Reserve your third day in Busan to hike Geumjeongsan. This mountain is known to be one of the popular hiking destinations in Busan and treats you to panoramic vistas upon reaching the top. You may skip the legwork and ride the cable car. Beomeosa is a renowned temple located on the slopes of the mountain. Pay a visit to the temple and bask in its tranquility. Do not forget to carry food or snacks along with you to satisfy your hunger during the rigorous hike. If time permits, visit the Busan Museum at the end of the day. Opened in 1978, this museum gives you a glimpse of the traditions and culture through a collection of relics and historical artworks. Start off your fourth day in Busan by a visit to Korea National Maritime Museum. Established in 201, this is the third largest museum in the Republic of Korea. It has around 12,000 maritime relics, many of which are replicas of actual ships. After admiring the museum, your next stop would be Taejongdae. This is a natural park with many features. It has magnificent cliffs offering breathtaking vistas of the vast sea ahead. Other attractions in the park include an observatory, a lighthouse, an amusement park, and a cruise ship terminal. You can also enjoy tasty seafood at this place. Later in the day, head towards the Samnak Ecological Park. This is a great park for a leisurely stroll around and spots a variety of birds. There are also many courts and fields in the park where you can see locals indulged in a sport. With paved walking trails, you can easily wander in the park.

Day 5 and 6 In Busan Trip Plan:

Start off your 5th day in Busan by visiting Centum City. With a complex of interconnected malls, you will be tempted to go on a shopping spree. After spending the time to your heart’s content at Centum City, visit the Busan Museum of Art. This place has an extensive collection of artwork created, primarily, by local artists. It is a heaven if you are an art-lover. Let the rest of your day be dedicated to relaxation at the Dongbaek Park. This tranquil place will help you calm and relax while treating you to panoramic vistas. Your last day in Busan will be occupied by your visit to Gamcheon Culture Village. This is an artistic district splashed in a variety of colors. Visiting this place, you will be able to soak in the culture of Busan. The colorful houses prove to be great for some great photographs. Wander through this culture village and you will lose track of time. If you have some more time left on your hands at the end of the village tour then head towards the Gwangalli Beach or visit the Jagalchi Market which sells all kinds of fish.

  • Can you tell me if there are any cultural shows in busan we can see. We will be there for 1 day the 18th september 2019, I love seeing all the local music and dancing. and it is my birthday that day so would be very special. Thankyou
