There are various open-roof buses plying every 20 minutes which take you through the areas of City Bowl, Camps Bay, and the Atlantic Seaboard area. You will come across many of Cape Town’s famous attractions like The Clock Tower, Jewel Africa, Aerial Cableway to Table Mountain, and Camps Bay. If you are more interested in visiting the Downtown area to explore the various museums, cathedrals, and castles, you can also choose the Cape Town Downtown Bus Tour that takes you to famous attractions like Castle of Good Hope and The South African Museum.
Day 2: Wine Tours
South Africa is a country famous for its rich wine heritage. The Western Cape region of the city is home to of the most beautiful wine-producing regions in the world and it is best explored through guided tours which take you through the wine farms, conduct wine tasting events, and familiarise you with the process of wine production. Groot Constantia, Eagles' Nest, and Beau Constantia are some of the highlights of the wine tours.
Day 3: Cape of Good Hope
On the third day of your vacation, plan a visit to the picturesque Cape of Good Hope. The legendary Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope are a part of the famous Table Mountain National Park. Cape of Good Hope presents a diverse habitat, ranging from rocky mountain tops to beaches and open sea. You are sure to enjoy the rich diversity of marine life as well as flora and fauna here.
Day 4: Hiking
After spending the first three days of sightseeing, get out in the sun and breath in some fresh air to enjoy yourselves at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Featuring numerous hiking trails, this is a perfect spot to chill outdoors, away from the maddening crowds and in the company of nature.
Day 5: Beaches
The stunning craggy coastline of South Africa is dotted with gorgeous beaches and it is only fair that an entire day from the week in Cape Town be kept for exploring these beautiful coasts. Blaauwberg and Table Bay are particularly popular among locals and best for those who wish to indulge in adventure sports like kitesurfing while the most popular beaches Camps Bay and Clifton 2nd are ideal for those who are looking for a fun day out. Surfers prefer Muizenberg and West Coast beaches while Hout Bay, Fish Hoek, Melkbosstrand, and Tableview are mostly suitable for families.
Day 6: Township Tour
Spend the second-last day of your Cape Town holiday going for a Township Tour to explore the non-touristy and unexplored side of this region. A walk through the settlements of the locals and interactions with them are a part of these tours and this gives tourists an insight into the controversial history of South Africa.
