Chattanooga is a small city which is often considered to be the perfect weekend destination for tourists. 2 days in Chattanooga are perfect to roam the street and explore the sites on foot, making it exciting and wonderfully tiring at the same time. A number of sites like the aquarium and the zoo draw crowds all year long. The city is also known for its small casual diners and breakfast places and is no less than a foodie’s paradise!

How to spend 2 days in Chattanooga?
Day 1 In Chattanooga Aquarium, Museum, River Gallery
Start your day with a sumptuous breakfast at Milk and Honey. Try their Lox Bagel, and their version, a little different than the others will simply blow your mind.
Spend the morning with the marine beauties at the Tennessee Aquarium. With interactive shows and exhibits, the aquarium also has cruises that take you up the river. Fish species form the freshwater and the saltwater are kept separately. They also have a butterfly exhibit that is said to be mesmerizing. For lunch, make your way to Tony's Pasta Shop & Trattoria. Serving traditional Italian and Sicilian food prepared from garden fresh produce, it is one of the best places to have lunch in the city! Just a couple of minutes away from this restaurant are all the sites that you can visit in the afternoon. Head to the River Gallery. An age-old house converted into a museum, you can observe paintings and glasswork here, before heading to the next part of this museum, the Sculpture Garden! A lush garden overlooking the river, the sculpture garden is perfect to rest for some time after lunch.
Next stop is the Hunter Museum of American Art. a modern center of art and crafts, some unusual artworks are part of their collection. Since it is on the banks of the river, it makes for a perfect place to spend some time, before going to the Bluff View Art District. Sprawled across a little more than a block, street art of Chattanooga can be seen here. Graffiti, murals, and paintings make this area come alive! There are also shops and cafes that can keep you entertained for the evening.
Day 2 In Chattanooga Zoo, Historic Engel Stadium
Today, head to Maple Street Biscuit Co. for ‘Sticky Maple’, and irresistible delicacy that they are so famous for. This day is quite relaxed, with the first place being the Chattanooga Zoo. it is a 13-acre park that is home to close to 150 species of animals and 860 animals in total! Spend the morning in the company of these species, and head to Lupi's Pizza Pies for lunch. Known for its calzones and hand-tossed pizzas, the delicious lasagna is also worth trying.
Catch a game at the historic Engel Stadium. It was built in 1930 and serves as one of the landmark sites in the city. Spend the evening at the Chattanooga Market. Open only on Sundays, it is the best place to pick up some antiques, trinkets, souvenirs and more. Local musicians and artists showcase their works and make the atmosphere light, casual and fun!
