Day 1 In Chikmagalur

Let your first day at Chikmagalur be full of adventure. Embark on a Mullayanagiri - BabaBudangiri trek. Before starting your trek to the Mullayanagiri Peak, you may first make a stop at Seethalayanagiri. This is a very scenic site, offering spectacular vistas of the surrounding lush green forests. Then start your hike to the top of Mullayanagiri from Sarpadhari. The distance from the starting point to Mullayanagiri Peak is 3-4 kilometer and the hike is 1 hour long. Mullayanagiri is the highest peak between the Himalayas and the Nilgiris. If you aren’t much of an adventurer and wish to skip all the legwork to reach Mullayanagiri Peak, you may even drive to the top. Once you reach the peak, you may start trekking towards BabaBudangiri. The distance between Mullayanagiri Peak and BabaBudangiri Peak is 9 kilometer and for a skilled trekker, it would take around 5 hours to cover it. After completing the trek successfully, you may visit the Jhari Waterfall and relax for a while. Then return to Chikmagalur to rest for the day.

Day 2 In Chikmagalur

Spend your next day a little more relaxed since the previous day was quite a hectic one. Move around in Chikmagalur and soak in the local charm. A few places that you may visit on this day include Sri Sharadamba Temple, Sringeri Sharada Peetha, Coffee Museum, Manikyadhara Falls, Bhadra Dam, and Hirekolale lake. Since you have got free time on your hands, you must make a trip to one of the coffee plantation in Chikmagalur. Day 3 In Chikmagalur

Set out on an adventure again on your last day in Chikmagalur. Start off by hiking early morning to Kemmanagundi Hills. This lovely mountain is covered in a blanket of verdant greenery and has many trails that are ideal for hiking. Walking along the trails, you will be treated to mesmerizing views of valleys and peaks. You may also trek to the Z-point if you wish to treat your eyes to the stunning views of the Western Ghat. You also have the rose garden to enjoy a leisurely stroll. You may then head towards Kallathigiri Falls which is just 10 kilometer away. The cascading waterfalls will simply take your breath away.
