Grand Canyon Skywalk
Walking along this cantilever bridge is not for the faint hearts. Stretched over a length of 21 meter, this horseshoe shaped bridge has a glass walkway and the drop under the skywalk is between 500 and 800 feet. If you dare to walk along it, you will treated to the most picturesque sights of Grand Canyon National Park.
Cascading from a height of about 90-100 foot, Havasu Falls is one of the most revered falls in Grand Canyon National Park. Making a roaring noise, the waterfalls form a pristine pool of blue-green water. You may swim beyond the falls, but it may prove to highly risky. You also have to pre-book permits to visit the Havasu Falls well in advance.
This naturally formed shape of the Colorado river is a nature’s wonder. You may hile to the Horseshoe Bend by following a round trip trail of 1.5 mile from the U.S Route 89. The geological structure makes for a spectacular view as viewed from the cliff.
South Kaibab Trail
If you are in Grand Canyon national park for some rigorous hiking, then South Kaibab trail is the right path for you to take. The trail measure a total of 7.1 miles. You will come across a number of lookout points including Skeleton Point, Yaki Point, and Ooh-ahh Point.
Desert View Watchtower
This is a 70-foot tall stone building, completed in 1932. It is a four-story structure and its interiors have the murals by Fred Kabotie. The tower also has reflectoscopes/black mirrors that reflect an abstract view of the Grand Canyon.
Yavapai Point is the best place to enjoy sunrise or sunset in Grand Canyon National Park. Being quite famous amongst visitors, you may find it a little crowded. You may take a shuttle from the visitors center to reach this point where you will be treated to panoramic views.
Mather Point is located along the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. This scenic viewpoint is flocked by visitors in the evening to view the sunset. To avoid the crowds and enjoy the best vistas of Grand Canyon, it is recommended to visit this point early morning. Doing so will also allow you to enjoy the sunrise. If you get lucky, you may also spot a few wild animals around.
