Places to Visit in Hyderabad in 3 Days
Day 1: Hyderabad City Sightseeing
Start your 3-day Hyderabad by first visiting the postcard-perfect sight in Hyderabad, the Charminar. Located in the old parts of the city, Charminar was built by Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah to make an end of an epidemic in Hyderabad. A short 10-minute walk through the bustling by-lanes will next take you to the Chowmahalla Palace, or the Four Palaces. A blend of many architectural styles, this palace will take you back in time. Step outside the palace, and you will find yourself at the Laad Bazaar. This quirky lane is famous for tiny shops selling Laad, or lacquer jewelry, especially the bangles.
Stop for lunch at Hotel Shadab. Serving spicy biryanis, along with many culinary delights from the city, this restaurant is a must-visit. Next, make your way to the Purana Haveli. Featuring a European architecture, this haveli was once home to the Nizams. After a quick stop at the haveli, proceed to the Salar Jung Museum. One of the most visited museums in India, this museum contains 38 galleries and over 50000 items from the Nizam dynasty.
End your day by the lake at the Lumbini Park. Surrounding the Hussain Sagar Lake, this park has many places you can sit and relax at after a long, tiring day.
Day 2: Visit Golkonda Fort and Street Shopping
Situated on the outskirts of the city, the Golkonda Fort is a perfect way to start your day 2. This 13th-century fort was first built by the rulers of Kakatiya Dynasty and was later strengthened by Pratapa Rudra. A popular spot in Hyderabad, you can easily spend 2 hours here. A quick drive from the fort will take you to the Qutub Shahi Tombs. These group of 30 tombs is said to be the oldest monuments in the city.
Be back in the city by lunchtime to enjoy the world-famous Paradise Biryani. Spend the rest of the afternoon shopping in the city. Be it budget shopping, high street fashion, pearls, gold, or just anything at all, this city has it all.
Day 3: Spend last day at Ramoji Film City
Ramoji Film City (RFC) is located outside the city, and can easily take your entire day. This integrated film studio complex has many recreational options for everyone in the family. This film city holds the Guinness World Record of being the world's largest film studio complex. In the evening, while making your way back to the city, stop at the Sanghi Temple. The temple is located on the Paramanand Giri hill and offers stunning views of the Ramoji City.
Towering monuments, culinary delights, and crowded bazaars make Hyderabad a vivid city in India.
