Day 1 in Kandy

On your very first day in Kandy visit the Udawattakele sanctuary. The historic forest reserve is renowned for extensive avifauna and plant species. The sanctuary is good for education and recreation. After spending your morning at the Sanctuary, head to the Temple of Tooth just 15 min away from the Sanctuary. It is the relic of the tooth of Buddha and is a popular site for all the Buddhists around the world. You can also visit the National Museum of Kandy and Natha Devale in your free time. Go to the devil's hill in the evening to see the gigantic Buddha statue with a view of the beautiful Kandy town from the top.

Day 2 in Kandy

Start your second day of the 3 days, 2 nights in Kandy by visiting the Sri Bhakta Hanuman temple in Rambodha. This spiritual centre is known to be the place where Hanuman set his feet when he was searching for Sita. You can also get a stunning view of the nearby rivers and mountains from this temple. Have a delicious vegetarian lunch at nearby restaurants and head to the Bluefield Tea Gardens where you will get to see the process of manufacturing tea. Shop at the Souvenir shops for your loved ones and spend a quiet evening in a cafe.

Day 3 in Kandy

Go for an early morning hike to the Knuckles Mountain Range which is a series of peaks and supine folds that imitate the knuckles of a clenched fist. The peaks are covered in thick clouds, which is a beautiful sight to behold. The higher elevation areas have a lot of biodiversity. Spend your afternoon in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradiniya which is famous for its collection of orchids. It houses exotic plant species, tree arcades and even has the provision of a golf cart to explore the garden. End your stay of 3 days in Kandy with a perfect evening in the Ceylon tea museum.
