London- the cultural and financial capital of the world is truly a global city. People of all countries, races, and classes call it home and have been living here for generations. It doesn't come as a surprise then that London is the most-visited city in the World, in terms of International visitors. Though 5 days in London is too less of a time to totally absorb or experience the true essence of this great city, still it is good enough to get a great glimpse of various important attractions.
Day 1 in London
Start your London Travel on a holy note with a visit to the St. Paul's Cathedral. It is perfect for starting your journey, as apart from the beautiful architecture, it is also close to several other important attractions.
Head to Tate Modern for a rendezvous with modern art, from where you can take a cab to London's iconic structure - the London Eye.
Afterwards, visit Churchill War Rooms and walk to the Parliament Square to end your day on a historical note.
Day 2 in London
The best way to see London and absorb its culture is by visiting Trafalgar Square and spending some time here.
Afterwards take a cab or walk to the National Gallery which will take up the afternoon.
In the evening head to the British Museum for a sight of priceless artifacts like the Rosetta Stone before finally wrapping up the day with a walk in Covent Gardens where you can stroll, eat and shop in peace.
Day 3 in London
Any trip to London can't be truly complete unless you have visited the Buckingham Palace, from where drive down to the Queens House to complete your royal quest.
In the afternoon relax for a bit at the Green Park and then a cab can take you to the Victoria and Albert Museum.
In the evening enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants in Hyde Park and then go for a stroll afterward to digest that yummy meal.
Day 4 in London
The Natural History Museum is a must see in London within 5 days of your trip with its vast collection of naturally occurring historical objects. Thus, it should be your first stop on Day 4.
A cab or a bus can then take you to the Tower of London from where you can take a short stroll to reach Tower Bridge. If lucky you can see the bridge folding to let a boat pass through!
After all the sightseeing, time to head to The Globe Theatre for a tryst with Shakespeare and his fantastic works.
Day 5 in London
While planning a trip to London and creating a London itinerary 5 days make sure to add the Hampton Court Palace for a sneak peek into the astounding architecture of the medieval era.
Afterward commute to the Imperial War Memorial and witness the horrors of the First World War.
In the late afternoon head to the Sea Life London Aquarium and wrap up your London vacation with a visit to Somerset House, that lies at the very center of the city.
