How to see Maui in 4 days?
Day 1 and 2
Take a trip to the Haleakala National Park on the very first day of your trip. The drive to the park itself is extremely scenic. You can spend an entire day exploring the park and nearby places. If you are here early in the day, head to the 10,023-foot volcano to see the sunrise. Engage yourself in bird-watching and capture the spectacular views of the West Maui Mountains. Take a tour of the freshwater pools, waterfalls, and bamboo forests of Haleakala. You can see the Waimoku Falls, Makahiku Falls, and take a dip into the calm waters of Seven Sacred Pools at Ohe'o. Enjoy a wonderful hike at Haleakalā hills and then visit the Haleakalā Observatory to have an incredible view of the sky.
On the 2nd day of your 4 days/ 3 nights in Maui, you can visit the Maui Ocean Center. You can spend 2.5 hours in this wonderful aquarium that will introduce you to the rich marine life of Hawaii. Meet a large variety of species of the aquatic animals, visit the shark tank, and have fun at the tide pool. Later in the day, you can enjoy a great adventure of the zip line at Maui Zipline Company. You can also visit the Bailey House Museum and enjoy a scenic hike at Iao Valley State Park. If you get time, hiking on the Waihee Ridge Trail would also be a great idea.
Day 3 and 4
During these two days, you can do some beach hopping in Maui. For this, you need to divide your plan into two parts. While on the first day, you can explore the western beaches of Maui, on the other day, you can visit the eastern side. Begin this fun-filled time at the beaches of Kamaole. The Kamaole beach park, which is just 10 minutes from the main beach also offers a lot of fun for the families. Indulge in a great snorkeling and swimming experience at Ulua Beach. Next is Wailea Beach which is also a nice place for sunbathing and swimming. The Polo Beach and Maluaka beach are the next destinations. On the same day, you can spend a joyful time at Makena State Park. To see the coastal lava fields, you can visit the Ahihi-Kinau Natural Area Reserve.
Explore the eastern beaches of Maui on the final day of your trip. Start your day at Garden of Eden Arboretum and enjoy the coastal views in the morning. Also, visit the Kaumahina State Wayside Park. You can also see the Upper Waikani Falls on your way to Hana Bay. Some of the beaches that you will visit this day are the Black Sand Beach, Red Sand Beach, Hamoa Beach etc. Once you are done with beach-hopping, you can also engage yourself in shopping.
